NCAA Tourney

Wichita State could be a dangerous team.

OSU, Kansas, Missouri, and Marquette are questionable seeds imo.

Why is that?

As a Kentucky fan, if 3 schools from this state made it in (UL, WKU, etc.)the tourney while the Cats stayed home, I would be chewing through bricks.

The same scenario is happening to UT, barring a decent sized statistical miracle. Not saying that UT should be upset about a bad/average year, it was expected after Bruce and the program is on the up. Hell, I think they have exceeded expectations in many ways. Just saying that it sucks to watch the other kids play in your sandbox.

The season isn't over.

And thanks for pointing out how it should hurt for us as Tennessee fans.

NP.

As for Mizz, they aren't questionable. Their record and their conference warrants a possible 1 seed, 2 at worst without a late trainwreck.

That being said, I honestly think that team is overachieving, and plays more to a 4 or 5 seed in reality rather than top seed. But they have the ammunition to go the the elite 8, depending on how their bracket plays out.

I think we're a little past the point where a team can be said to be "overachieving." That could work in, say, December, but we're nearing the end of the regular season now. They're not a traditional team, but if you've watched them consistently (I don't know if you have), there's no way you'd think their play would fall off so dramatically.

However, these guys (including the coach) have faced an uphill battle for the entire season, so it'll be familiar territory come tournament time. It's kinda fun when people are forced to reevaluate their perception of a team when the results are simply no longer deniable. I could argue that we've already reached that point and then some, but I think their play will do the talking.

That's why they play the games my friend. Given the right bracket I can see them making an E8 or F4 run. I can also see them bounced in the 2nd as well.

Exactly my point.

It's not a very good one, because your opinion is probably not based on anything other than highlights and small snippets you've seen throughout the year.

Well, this could probably be said of any top team in the tournament. That's not overly insightful.

Pretty sure they got caught looking ahead tonight.

Mizzou is an overachieving team if I've ever seen one. Run of the mill talent, but one of the most experienced teams in the NCAA this year. Being swept by a lesser team is a red flag that a team has some serious holes in their game (See UF and UT). Plus, Mizzou has one of the worst game-time coaches in D1 on their bench in Frank Haith.

Mizzou may get a high seed, but they'll make an early exit. They play horrific defense.
