NCAA Tourney

I think Missouri could make a decent run, but I don't think they'll get past the Sweet 16. Depending on their opponent in the second round (say, a 7 seed like Creighton), that exit could be earlier.

Haith is a joke, and stumbled right into a job with talent leftover. Their D isn't that great and is undisciplined, but they do have some experience. In 3 years Mizz will be back to average and they will wonder WTF they were thinking in hiring Haith.

THIS. Mizzouri had talent left from Anderson, and they're the fifth most experienced team in D1 this season. When the older guys clear out and Frank gets his own guys in there, Mizzou won't sniff an NCAA tourney for years.

As for Mizz, they aren't questionable. Their record and their conference warrants a possible 1 seed, 2 at worst without a late trainwreck.

That being said, I honestly think that team is overachieving, and plays more to a 4 or 5 seed in reality rather than top seed. But they have the ammunition to go the the elite 8, depending on how their bracket plays out.

I think we're a little past the point where a team can be said to be "overachieving." That could work in, say, December, but we're nearing the end of the regular season now. They're not a traditional team, but if you've watched them consistently (I don't know if you have), there's no way you'd think their play would fall off so dramatically.

However, these guys (including the coach) have faced an uphill battle for the entire season, so it'll be familiar territory come tournament time. It's kinda fun when people are forced to reevaluate their perception of a team when the results are simply no longer deniable. I could argue that we've already reached that point and then some, but I think their play will do the talking.

This certainly played out well. As I said, defense is soft.

This almost happened to FSU. Hamilton reminds me a lot like Haith. Incompetent.

I don't think highly of Hamilton either but he's improved that program at the very least and recruited good players. Mizzou is going to decline quickly.
