ND injuries

ND gave it their best effort, but UCONN put the hammer down and game over.

HCHW needs to follow Geno's lead and let Ms. Carter play shut-down on the younger Mabrey. She was incredible in the first half, but got very frustrated in the second (doing a lot of pushing and shoving).

Easier said than done. Jefferson is an incredible defensive guard. Carter isn't anywhere close to that, and no way does she have the same success.

ND is so well coached. They had NO business being in this game with all their injuries.

If Muffet was our coach, I have little doubt Tennessee would rival UConn again with this roster....

Yeah, all those 3's that McGraw made from the sideline were pretty incredible.

She didnt make the 3's, but she had a game plan ready that spaced the floor and played to her players strengths. Gotta give her credit for having her team ready to play

Tennessee's players have had a ton of open looks over the past few games that they just flat missed, so that tells me that Holly also has game plans in place to get her players in position to score . . . they just haven't been executing. That's what pissed her off so badly during the ETSU game.

I agree players missing shots is part of the issue, but you cant make shots without a rhythm. That includes spacing and ball movement not the scheme of force it inside. I like holly but even her version of that is flawed. Great coaches play to there players strengths. We haven't seen any form of a high low game this year. And when some form of rhythm develops she subs...

Notre Dame competed and earned my respect. I don't think their players are more talented than ours but I don't think we would have competed like they did today.

What you see from UConn and Notre Dame is total offensive freedom. None of we got to do this or that will the ball. They both attack the basket and play up tempo. Their players play with a high basketball IQ something our players have lacked for several years now.

I noticed a lot of plays where Stewart would get the ball 20 feet of the basket and go up for the jump shot with plenty of time on the shot clock...because she was open for a moment and the shot was within her range.

Diamond and Te'a are the only ones on the team so far with this instinct.

Good observation..I've noticed this too when I watch uconn play..I'm so glad we have cooper and diamond, or it might have been a very long excruciating season

Maybe with a coach that takes advantage of the current roster TENN could be more competitive. Defense seems fine but there doesn't seem to be an offensive scheme... at least in the 3 games I watched.
