If it's possible I think It would be very nice in the recruiting thread to somehow have a logo or avatar or whatever of the player's school he's committed to or if he's uncommitted a logo that says so next to his name.

The hot board is a good idea. I'll toss it around with Eric and see what he thinks. He's got all kinds of projects on the brain to keep me busy.

What about setting up a more detailed profile of each player at the top of the forum and then have the blog underneath it.. A place to put all there stats and pictures and maybe a section for the latest confirmed headlines on the certain person.. Then have the blog follow underneath it..

Kind of like a page mimicing rivals or scout but it would be Volnation's..

I'm sure we could come up with several generic designs and pick one in the future..

I know this is an odd complaint, but I have basically stopped checking the recruiting forum. The threads get so long to the point where unless I check every hour, I have no idea what's going on in the thread. I just open it and all I see is a bunch of random posts. Most of them saying the exact same thing.

I used to live in this forum too.

It's not an odd complaint at all. Off topic posts are definitely a problem at times. We do our best to clean out off topic posts, but it can be a losing battle at times. The best thing you can do is hit the report button which alerts us that there is a problem so we can go in and clean up off topic threads.

We could add sponsor's and gain revenue to actually hire certain people for VN to get information... Like our own version of Brent Hubbs.. =)

I agree that this is an issue. I'm not sure of the solution. Maybe we need one for players and one for daily news threads and discussions. Not sure.

I like that idea. I get on the recruiting forum for the news and alot of times I can't find it. I do like the idea of a kind of sub forum for news and another thread for the people who want to say things like "I had a dream that Jake heaps committed to UT!!!"

Can we create a sticky that explains what TOS, TAFKA etc stand for? I finally am asking. Also need to make a sticky for why Rod Wilks is such a badass. I had to search the archives but found the thread. That thing was epic.

(used to single out a particularly annoying poster who would create a new account and post about 100 times within an hour of getting banned)

I do think a terminology thread could be useful.
