I have had some really big things come up with myself and also for my wife, and I really need someone to take over starting the game threads. I’m sorry. It has been a real pleasure. Thanks for bearing with me as I made my way. But I am worried about keeping up with it this week. Whoever does it should feel free to continue next season. I think that’s only fair.

Whoever would like to do it, please say so below. And if more than one, work it out. Maybe someone for the tournament and someone else for next season. Thank you. Go LVs!

I’m fine with letting Coach Jumper go back to doing them. This is a social media forum. If you don’t have the fortitude and discretion to scroll on past the posts that irritate you, prolly shouldn’t participate anyway. 😉🤙🏼

Editing to expound:

@KnoxLikeUs can be very informative, but can’t make but two or three centered posts before he pops off with his over exuberance and repetitive litany of accolades for our incoming class, or slamming the forum in general for taking a more wait and validate talent by performance at the D1/P4/SEC level of competition. Have I put him on ignore? Pshhh.

Did the AR vs CC debate get under my skin when @DarkPhoenix and @VolBall09 were going at each others throats last year? Certainly. Did I place either on ignore? Phffffft.

Does Coach irritate my sensibilities when he goes off on his tangents, among them, regarding the requirement that our head coach must take an alpha male position and verbally abuse the marginally competent Officiating crews to which we find our team subjected?

I am too. Would you like to resume making the thread, @Coach Jumper? I’m also fine if some else wants to. It belongs to the board. Sorry I really do have to step back.

I don't mind pitching in to spell folks for the next six games, but I'm not too keen on getting in the middle of it -- whatever "it" is. And I don't care to think about next year. Way too far off to worry about that sort of stuff.

I'll be honest, I'm mostly commenting so I can insinuate that there would be six more games to do gameday threads for.

Thank you for serving the board. You did a wonderful job orchestrating the game threads. I really hope you and your family can resolve to your benefit whatever challenge it is that draws your attention away from our forum community. Peace, love and shalom. 🙏

Y'all please add to this if I'm forgetting something:

A good game thread starter
does not need to be passionate about the program, nor up-to-date on all the latest drama or developments.

A good thread starter only needs to be conscientious enough to get it started at least the day before tip-off, and knowledgeable of where and how to access, copy, and paste the information provided by the UTAD.

It's like being a host(ess) where all you have to do is set out the cups and utensils, and leave the front door open. People will bring their own food, and (well, usually, in this metaphor) clean up their own messes. ;)

As game thread starter you certainly have the freedom to add your own creative touches, knowing that they will be both appreciated and critiqued. But creativity is not necessary--just your diligence

(...within reason, knowing that behind our avatars, we all have our own, unpredictable lives).

I have to confess that I put myself on ignore. Too much freakin' irony.

The NCAA tournament show would be a good time to start the new game thread

Someone started a tournament thread earlier this week, if I recall. Maybe a "Selection Show" thread?

I think game threads work best starting around noon two days before a game. So about 36 hours, started during the midday internet usage peak. Enough time to weigh in, not enough time for the conversation to derailed by one of those "Kellie Harper/Holly Warlick/Talaysia Cooper/Kara Lawson/PauldoTwins/Puckett/Darby/Caldwell/whatever" arguments that can go on all week.

Hope everything is or will be okay. Thanks for taking the thread on and stay in touch!
