Anybody know what the worst home loss (by points, not emotions) in Neyland Stadium history?

Im just wondering if Georgia will break the record. Our offense is just plain horrid. And CBJ seems stubbornly unwilling to use one of the freshmen QBs.

If one of the freshmen were ready to play, you can bet that the guy who is at every practice and watches every play these guys make would put him in. Worley won the job in camp and has not done badly enough to lose it. Get behind him.

The Oregon loss in 2010 was the worst at Neyland. The worst home loss I can find is a 68-0 loss to Sewanee in 1918.

Then why do you accuse Butch of being stubborn? These guys are probably more talented than Worley and just may win the job next year. But there is something that they are or are not doing to warrant playing time. Jamal Lewis, as great as he was, admitted he didn't start early his freshman year because he wasn't able to block. There is something that makes Butch not want them in right now.

In Neyland I think it was the Bama game in the late 80's 60 something to like 3..

Does nobody ever stop to think that the reason they're not starting is due to development? They're freshman...

How are you going to get developed in the SEC without taking a single snap. Three interceptions against a football team that didnt exist 6 years ago is an embarrassment. Even a bad SEC team should have 50 points scored and the 2nd team into the game by now.

Sorry, just not seeing the silver lining here.

I think the thought process is

Let them practice and workout at the college level for a year to learn and grow. Then redshirt them and lose no time with them on the field. (Still get 4 years)

I understand that the state of the football program is the worst its ever been as far as talent goes, but there have been many true freshmen start for tennessee that would have beat the crap out of Worley on a football field.

I really think CBJ is just packing it in this year and waiting to start over with his own recruiting class next year. He knows his O-line will be gone next year and next year is the real year zero. This is year -1.

I understand that in a situation like Alabama, where true freshmen would not be needed, that this would be the ideal plan. But if wins and losses are on the line and recruits are watching this garbage, then its negligent at best to not try to win at all cost.
