Thanks so much @vollygirlPraying V.
Hope you and your family have a very happy Thanksgiving. My apologies for failing to offer thanks for your thoughts and prayers for Mrs AV. She began driving two weeks ago, and the cardiologist who implanted her pacemaker has returned her to the care of her longtime cardiologist after reviewing reports from a second round of heart monitoring. Her chief complaints stem from palpitations that occur when she lies down, sometimes extreme readings that she gets from her fitbit, and often wide fluctuations in BP. Her doctor recently suggested some further tests, which she underwent and showed no abnormalities. Shd is also seeking a consultation with a cardiologiist that is new to DCH, the only Tuscaloosa County medical authority that some folks refer to as Don't Come Here. My chief reason for being optimistic is that she wants to go to St Louis and be with the grandkids for the holidays, and that is a major relief after months of pessimism.
Take care. I'm hoping to get past a few things that have kept me from being more active in VolNation.

Hey, so glad that Mrs. AV is improving and reading your post just brought something to mind and it may or may not be relevant, but I have afib and the only medicine that I take for it are blood thinners (Eliquis) and that only started when I had a stroke (blood clot went to my eye instead of my brain and thankfully my vision is ok too) but I have to stay away from foods and drinks that would cause me to have palpitations or an irregular heart beat which would be chocolate, coffee, cokes, hot chocolate, staying away from anything with caffeine or chocolate or nicotine....because all of these can cause palpitations or irregular heart beats, so I also had to quit smoking 6 years ago. Anyway I don't know if this will help your wife's situation but just wanted to throw that out there, plus I do not want to take a rhythm medicine because the one that they prescribed me was Felicalide and the side effect was "May cause rapid heartbeat and cause death"...well I already have that so I am sure not going to take something that may cause thatMy apologies for failing to offer thanks for your thoughts and prayers for Mrs AV. Will you pray for me and my family?I’ve noticed that we in the zone are good at prayer and support for those who need it.
We have many threads as proof.
Periodically I see someone mention an issue and then they apologize for bringing it up in the wrong place.
My plan is to tag those people in this thread so they know it’s the right place and they can they can talk if they need to judgment free.
1 Timothy 2:
First of all, then, I urge that (A)requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made in behalf of all people, 2 (B)for kings and all who are in [a]authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and [b]dignity. 3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of (C)God our Savior, 4 (D)who wants all people to be (E)saved and to (F)come to the [c]knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is (G)one God, and (H)one mediator also between God and mankind, the (I)man Christ Jesus, 6 who (J)gave Himself as a ransom for all, the (K)testimony [d]given at [e](L)the proper time.
The warriors prayer
Dear LORD as we take up this fight we ask for a chance that is fair
A chance to win our fight a chance to beat back despair
If we should win let it be by Your code with faith an honor held high.
If we should lose let it be by Your will and let us never question why
Day by day we get better and better and with You as LORD we cannot be beaten and won’t be beaten, no matter the results of this fight.
Amen

Is GordonC okay?@GordonC
My brother, I prefer to do this privately but I have no way of doing so. You’re on my mind a lot so I thought I’d share with you what that means.
May the G-d of my fathers hold you and keep you. May He extend your strength to overcome that which afflicts you. May he give you health and healing not only to your self but to your family. May he give you peace and understanding that comes from within His will. It is said that the prayers of a righteous man carries much weight with YHWH. I am but a broken soul and a fool, even so I go before my G-d with these requests in His name and the name of Messiah whom He sent
There’s an old saying that tough times don’t last but tough people do. I like to think I’m a tough person but I look up to you.
Shalom
please excuse my failure to respond earlier. Mrs. AV continues to feel the palpitations and said she got so anxious driving across town a couple of days ago that she felt she would faint. It's hard to believe all of this because I often say she was a trucker in a previous life.Hey, so glad that Mrs.
