All my best wishes and prayers for you and your family for Jesus to wrap his healings arms around you all and comfort you with his promise of everlasting life. Thanks so much, everyone. Really. I appreciate it.
She had very strong feelings in favor of organ and tissue donation (her brother who is still with us received a liver transplant about 20 years ago), and her wishes were to be cremated.
The hospice people were wonderful in terms of helping us with final preparations. They introduced us to a local group, and a big shout out to RestoreLifeUSA for taking care of EVERYTHING (organ donation, cremation, death certificate -- all done online with no trips to do this/do that/did we forget something.) This is a great organization, and we are so thankful that the hospice people put us into contact.

We are a no soliciting organization. It's our policy not to approach donors or donor families. The potential donor or their family must initiate the firstrestorelifeusa.org
The grandkids are struggling, as are the girls and I, but we are receiving a measure of comfort from the hope that her organ donations will help someone in need during this holiday season.
I miss her like crazy, and even though we had a long time to "prepare," it's impossible to be "ready."
For now, the fact that she is not suffering is a blessing for us all.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers.
You know we're praying, and here if you need to reach outThanks so much, everyone. Really. I appreciate it.
