Needing prayers.

Dad got his pet scan results, they just called. It's confined to the prostate. They're gonna remove it around the middle of April God willing. He was excited, grabbed mom's phone to tell me he'd be able to go fishing on our Florida trip the first of April 😆. He was worried he'd miss it.

Glad for his news. Hope his post-op is easy peasy.

Wow....you are a miracle and continued prayers for healing and recovery.

Wasn’t sure how to jump back into the thread after telling my situation awhile back but figured your quote was as good as any. After catching up in the thread I have quite a few folks I’ll definitely be adding to my prayers.

I just had my 3rd pet scan about a week ago since starting the new treatment in June of last year. The good news is my oncologist says I have had a complete response and nothing is lighting up even though you can still see some of the nodules and the mass on the scan. The only bad thing is due to the treatments I have developed terrible neuropathy in my feet and a little bit in my hands and have felt a bit weaker overall since it started. To combat the neuropathy he dropped one of my drugs, Acedris, which is probably the cause. I am however continuing with my other medication, Opdivo, until further notice and may add the Acedris back in the future if needed. I’m still trying to get in to see my other oncologist about the stem cell transplant which would likely be the last treatment needed. Regardless, my next scan is in June and hopefully it will show continued improvement. It’s crazy to think about a year ago I was just getting out of rehab after about 3 months in 3 different facilities, weighing 150 pounds and barely able to walk with a walker. I have so much to be grateful for. Anyway, just thought I would update and appreciate the prayers.

Praying his surgery goes well.

had robotic prostate surgery in 2014. My urologist was from the Clinton-Oak Ridge area. He and his wife, also a urologist moved from Tusk County about 2 years ago.My curent urologist had practiced in West Knoxville
Ardent, what is the W. Knox urologists name?

yes The prayers worked - he got to come home late yesterday - the nurse got him to eat pudding and drink some cold water - he even crawled over to the nurse and kissed her ( all the staff there are forced to wear masks but not the patients or visitors ) Had me scared it was to be routine surgery

They say tonsils aren’t too rough for kids but I had mine removed in 2020 at thirty years old and holy chit.

I think my wife was trying to kill me. They told us in recovery that soups the first few days would be easiest. She made a thickkk, chunkyyy potato soup with crispy bacon. I literally sat there and cried while trying to get it down.
Dang!
