Get in line or leave? That is very American of you. I don't have to be able to predict the future...if you had read my post it called this a RERUN which means it already happened. See the past 3 seasons.

Coach Butch Jones has been in Cincy for the past 3 seasons. We had CDD so I fail to see the rerun. What's in the water in bama? Whatever it is, put it down and back away!

Show me is fine. That is likely where I am at.
The doom and gloom is what gets under my skin. Some fans were calling this a failure, and predicting doom, before the ink was dry. Nobody knows at this point how this will work out. Nobody.

Yeah but your post seems eerily similar to what I read when Dooley was hired :eek:hmy:

You a preacher or rehab coordinator?

I loved Majors, and I love Fulmer, but I remember the true story, and how Majors became a very bitter mean man blaming everyone but himself when he basically had imploded more then a season before.

He would have been gone sooner had he not named Fulmer OC which revitalized the program. Fulmer saved his butt for two years. In majors defense he was dealing with personal issues that were tough but he spiraled out of control hit the bottle hard, started getting beligerent on and off the field, and the majors we loved he wasn't by the time he finally went out for "back" issues. I don't blame the man for his demons, but the poison he spread among fans, and division blaming Phil instead of taking responsibility has soured all the good memories I have of him.

Fulmer loved Tennessee all his life and has always given his all for the University, and Majors should have thanked him for buying him the last two SEC championships on his record, because god knows the 1960's playbook we ran before was not hunting.

Fulmer was one of the best recruiters in SEC, be he relaxed a little and the SEC doesn't give much space for that...but firing a guy who had given us the best tenure since General Neyland mid season? nah.....that was not classy...he deserved till end of season, and given how recruiting was going he deserved another year...I have zero doubt we'd be better off now.

So four years later we're sucking wind and Phil haters would rather blame him still then admit how completely stupid that was.

Realist = Troll I guess.

BTW, I graduated from UTK in 2000. I was born and raised a Vols fan in the great state of Tennessee. I wear my orange in Alabama despite all the comments. EVERYONE here knows the Vols are my team. It's easy to namecall without knowing anything about the person.

You are either extremely drunk or a total embarassment to your fellow UT graduates. Dooley is gone, Jones is our coach now, no matter what you may think THEY ARE NOT THE SAME PERSON !! CBJ is our HC so either nut up or shut up, but stop whining like a 3 year old. :cray:

Dooley called this a dream job. Dooley was passionate about coming. How did that work out for us? Dooley was our coach. Why did you allow him to be fired? Why didn't you support him? You can't bring Meyer into this...he had Saint Tebow to bail his inexperienced butt out...what happened when Tebow left? Meyer tried to run, but Fla shamed him into coming back. True Vol fans expect and demand better than this garbage. WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN THIS MOVIE AND KNOW HOW IT ENDS.

Really. Comparing Pre-Volunteer Dooley to Pre-Volunteer Jones.

Course he would, but some of us are old enough and were around campus to remember which one was the drunk.

:good!: Some like to perpetuate the myth that old Johnny conjured up back then. Glad someone else knows or understands what actually went down.

Great post. Just keep on saying it. Over and over. It's still all bull ****, though.
So majors never had heart surgery and was rehabbing for a while and Phil wasn't subbing for him while he was out and got the head coach job after Johnny came back and got fired?

I really don't see how you can compare Butch to Dooley. Dooley never won anything at any level (8-5 at LA tech which got better when he left) and Jones has won Big East titles and 10 games 3 times in his carrer. That's not even close to Dooley.

I took the post a different way. And, yeah, Phil was subbing and winning while he was out.

Look Bobby Vol, when losing becomes the norm, it's only natural for fans to be negative, I don't care how long you've been a Vol Fan (I've been a fan over 40yrs) but until this University does something to make sure the football program succeeds and is competitive like the other top SEC schools, fans are simply going to be negative......I often find myself laughing at the Vol replays all over the networks.....He** it's funny and pathetic at the same time. It's sad that the only time UT is now featured on sports networks is an example of poor play and losing.....it's a fact......and we are just going to have to get used to it...at least for the near future. Try laughing at the poor play....I've found it better than whinning like you

Jones is a much, much better coach than Dooley. Period, dot.

We will see. Talk to me after National Signing Day. That will be the first sign of what's to come.

The past three seasons filled with their bad luck and negative results had made me so negative that I couldn't possibly go any lower. Just seeing a new positive face wearing Tennessee orange raises my endorphins.

We have no choice but to give him a chance (3 losing seasons at least) JUST LIKE DOOLEY. I will never be happy when our program loses...why do you think I am so upset about this hire? How can you be ok with losing?

The only real LOSER around here is YOU bama boy.

Real Tennessee fans will UNITE and give our new footVOL coach full support for at least 3 or 4 years to give him time to recruit HIS players and build a team that WINS lots of games just like he PROVED he can do at his last 2 schools.

Now little bama TROLL you've been exposed as the useless TROLL you really are so SHUTUP and go back to your bama site because nobody here on OUR Tennessee site wants to hear your negative, crybaby TROLL garbage!

VFL...GBO!!!
