Nerlens Noel a disappointment....

I've seen Noel play. He's a better shot blocker than Davis at this point in their careers. He's not nearly as well-rounded a player, but his wingspan and timing on the defensive end make him really dangerous. His team won't be nearly as good as Davis', so Noel will probably pick up more silly fouls b/c of perimeter defenders not stopping their men, so he may not break Davis' record. But he's an amazing shot blocker.

I've also seem him play, and wasn't that impressed by him like I was Davis. He has a long way to go to be the type of blocker Davis was. He leaves his feet WAY too often, and doesn't have the same motor that Davis had.

This UK team is plenty talented enough that if he gets in foul trouble it will be his own fault. I will gladly make another bet with you that Noel doesn't break Davis' blocks record. I dont think he even comes within 20.

20? You're playing it safe - no way he even comes that close.

I just said he wouldn't break the record.

Yes you covered your arse because you knew that was coming. Your excuse is because this team isn't as talented so he may get in foul trouble. That's BS, plenty of wing talent that if he gets in foul trouble it'll be his fault and in/against post. You could actually make an argument that there's little post depth so he may actually get more minutes than Davis.

Plus I gave you a 20 block buffer, I said he won't come within 20 of the record, that's rather courteous of me I think.

Davis was surrounded by veterans and, what, 5 other first round draft picks?

Noel will be on Cal's youngest team ever, with nothing close to that many first rounders.

I honestly don't care enough about this subject to argue about it though.

Harrow, Noel, Poythress an Goodwin are all considered 1st round picks, how is 4 not close to 5?

I don't think Poythress and Goodwin both go. One may be a first rounder.

I'm not sure Harrow goes, and I'd be really surprised if he is first round.

Either way, 6 > 4 if we're talking about total draft picks.

Cauley could be the next Orton, who knows, it's UK and Cal, they could have 5 draft picks and I wouldn't be shocked.
