Netflix pricing going up

About 4 - 5 more for the 2 DVDs and unlimited streaming.

I'll probably drop to the one at a time and unlimited streaming.

In this case, I don't really see the issue. Like they said, they're about to get pummeled by some expensive ass licensing costs. It's not like I'm not going to believe them on that one.

nothing I've seen ever mentions my current plan

If you log into your account and try to change the plan it will tell you how much your current plan is going up.

Mines going up $5. I really don't care. If these price increases are affecting your budget in anyway, you are doing something terribly wrong.

Mine will be 17.98 for 1 Bluray and unlimited streaming. 4 dollars more than it is now. I'll keep it the same for now.

Mine is going up 6, but I'm using it less and less. So I'll probably cancel it.

It's the principality.

I'm actually going to save money because I don't stream enough to pay $7.99/month for that service, so I'll just drop it come September 1st. I'm probably one of the few that uses Netflix more for DVD rentals and only used streaming from time to time because it's convenient. I don't have a problem with them raising prices. You gotta do what you gotta do. But all signs are pointing towards $7.99/mo for unlimited streaming being only a drop in the bucket to what it will cost going forward.

If you're going to drop DVD/bluray from the current price plan, you need to make streaming service worth a **** first.

Nothing I ever want to watch is available for instant stream. It's only older mainstream movies. No new releases, or off-the-wall older movies. Also, most things I want to watch aren't available on bluray, they're DVD only. So how can I justify paying 2x as much to be able to watch all the new releases on ****ty quality DVD?

I'm dissatisfied with Netflix, and have discontinued my subscription.

Prices don't go down. You should be used to it by now.

If they're gonna go up on prices then new releases need to be realeased upon the actual release. The customer doesn't always have to eat cost increases.

Oh, I just assumed since most of the fanbase is located within the US that we were talking about the mainland. Which principality is getting their rates raised?

Also, can I cancel Netflix online?

So you expect companies to just start eating increased costs?

To an extent yes. That's the problem with so many businesses. Greed. It's not profit it's profit margin even if they cut their own throats by running customers off.

Blame the content distributors, not Netflix's fault.

Exactly. They keep making bad movies that lose money and they want to make their money back.

They along with the RIAA need to finally join us in 2011. Things aren't going to go back to how they were. Adapt or die.
