If you watch a lot of movies it’s way more cost effective than subscribing to all the different streaming services and paying on a per rental basis
My Blu-ray player is unplugged and placed in a closet. I couldn't tell you the last time it's been turned on. Or last time I've played one of my hundreds of owned DVDs.I’m actually surprised how many folks I see at Red Box in front of Kroger and Walgreens. Guess it makes sense if you want the latest releases.
I haven’t turned my Blu-ray player on in well over a year if not longer. I’ve considered getting rid of it.

That is a good movie.I converted most of my DVD's to digital back when Vudu was doing that for $1/movie. Should've done all of them when I had the chance.
I was dying to watch Blood In Blood Out because so many people said it's cool but I've never seen it. It's not streaming anywhere and it's never on TV, so I bought the DVD for $5 on Amazon and it took 2 months to get here. Still haven't watched it yet because I have to sit at my computer to do that. I don't have a DVD player.

You can buy dvd players for $20-30. I remember when the PS4 came out, I talked my wife into buying it because she could also use it as a DVD/Blu-Ray player. My PS4 hasn't been turned on in a couple of years.
