Well the two things that you want a mattress to do is 1) keep your spine straight and 2) Have no pressure points, and memory foam does all of that. People used
to complain that memory foam was hot, but all that is fixed now because they all have gel in them now to keep you cool. The latest technology in mattresses now
is a hybrid, which is half individually pocketed coils and half foam and I mostly sell hybrids now.

Had a memory foam mattress in the master bedroom and a flipable firm mattress in the guest room. Swapped them, and I’m sleeping better. Go figure.
