Kroger truck unloads at 6AM on Mondays... farm raised trout though.

Much of the trout in North Georgia rivers and streams are farm raised. The native brook trout have been all but wiped out by environmental degradation and introduced species.

Rainbow trout native range is western North America, and browns were introduced from Europe. Brookies are more closely related to char. They’re smaller, and there is no commercial demand to support private breeding programs or public stocking programs. Alas…

We didn't catch any trout, nobody was. Guess the weekend crowd wiped out all the stickers. It wasn't an empty trip though, I did get a couple of horny heads for the freezer! They'll be cut bait for catfish later!
