If there were hundreds of fans of other teams overrunning this board, I’m sure Freak would do someth8ng including banning some of them.

Ok, well since you were respectful YOU WOULDNT GET BANNED and if you brought hundreds of fans with you and they were respectful I’m sure they wouldn’t get banned either.

For me I enjoy listening to others views and would respectfully state my own. Can’t say that about all of Volnation but for me as long as you’re respectful you can stay.

Let’s say a Tennessee newspaper starts the same kind of poll on twitter for best athletes from Tennessee.

Let’s say the brackets have on one side Reggie White, Pat Summitt, Steve Spurrier and Nikki McCray.

Let’s say that Crystal Dangerfield beats all four of them, one after the other based on UConn fans from the Boneyard flooding the poll with votes. The fans on that board encourage each other to do that.

How would Tennessee fans feel about that?

Personally I really don’t care. It’s only a game.

Rutgers. I’m from Jersey. I’ve said that several times on this board. But I’m a big Tennessee fan as well.

These type of polls have been around a long time. No one is going to make a difference whether they are right or wrong but if you want to be the voice of reason on this subject, I suggest you argue it elsewhere. This is a Lady Vol forum.

Could you say that fan was always respectful? If I do remember correctly that fan said some things that were personal against others who didn’t agree with them. It went beyond a discussion about sports and after being warned multiple times didn’t stop... but I could be wrong

and someone named old dog just posted on this site like a day or so ago... could be different user though

PS you might have stated you’re a Rutgers fan a million times and I probably wouldn’t pay attention if you were being respectful because I don’t mind other point of views.

All those dogs sucked. It's like...if you don't proclaim the UConn players the greatest thing ever they would all come charging after you. It was obnoxious. I wasn't sorry to see them go. It's like they forgot what board they were on.

That’s true but you hit the nail on the head it wasn’t what they said it was the delivery of the message it became belligerent and rude to a point and even after multiple warnings they were still aggressive towards other posters.

Yes, it only a game, and no, that would never happen. Dangerfield wouldn’t have a chance. ;)

You might want to check our football and basketball attendance numbers for mostly not-so-great teams, as of late, which is just the tip of the iceberg for our fanbase.

P.S. Twitter-bombing a college kid like Emily Saunders, who never asked to be included in this poll, is never acceptable.

I believe Freak has a clear line of demarcation when it comes to kicking posters out and consistency is an important part of that process. It was clear to everyone when it happened.

Actually this poll thing was all about athletes from West Virginia and Emily being the Gatorade player of the year as a senior had a legitimate right to be included. I guess because of Tennessee fans she excelled more than expected and I would continue to vote for her or Hornbuckle because for me they are the two most popular athletes from West Virginia of all time.

I didn’t say she shouldn’t be included. I was saying that flooding the poll by Tennessee fans probably created the trolls attacking Saunders. A terrible thing to do. The trolling that is.
