New basketball unis

Ditto, I think the new ones look great.

Without the black trim, we will have to listen to the constant complaining from the announcers that they can't read the numbers on the unis just like before. Oh well, no matter what they do, someone is going to complain

I would always wonder why people hated having any black on the uni's...I now know why! They are awesome!

Announcers couldn't read the names right WITH the trim. What's going to be different? We aren't the first team to go without black trim and we won't be the last.

That is much less a problem in basketball than football. The announcers are right there by the court in basketball, so they should be able to read them fine.

I liked it ok, but I also like "uniformity" in the uniform looks of all the teams. I hate it when schools have football uniforms that are vastly different than the basketball uniforms.

So I'm kind of glad since football dropped the black trim, the basketball team did too. They'll probably get a smokey set too.

It will be interesting to see if the baseball team will, because that would be a much bigger change since they have black caps and jerseys.

Not gonna lie, I may be converted. I always liked the black trim and anything that's new and fresh, but straight orange and white looks damn good.

I still like black, gray, or whatever alternative scheme, but I think my new favorite is indeed all O&W.

Joe Vols!

More uni's maybe to come. The staff is meeting with Adidas sometime soon to discuss a new color. Likely the smokey gray.

From 24/7 article

"Martin is open to the idea and is embracing the notion of an alternate uniform, but anything that’s too crazy won’t get his stamp of approval. He quickly and firmly turned down the sleeved uniforms that several adidas programs used last season.

We’ve been told the Vols will have new warm-ups for this season, too, but they won’t be anything crazy, and they’ll be mostly orange and white.

No candy stripe warm up like last season. Also said no crazy uniforms. Is an old school guy. Doesn't allow the players to wear hats inside a building much less crazy jerseys on the court.

How would it look to have Tennessee on the front outlined by the state. Or the name on the back, but just somehow incorporating an outline of the state. Cheesey?

Thoughts?

Probably cheesy, and if Chester Cheetah taught us anything, its that it ain't easy being cheesy.

I love love love the idea of incorporating an outline. What if it was just the state instead of "Tennessee"? The oldies will have a heart attack, but I would JIMP.
