There's not one poster on this board who is perfect with projections,,,least of all me

some sort of "envy" I'd guess

Oh gosh, no.

You posters thinking I’m envious of anything have no idea how rich my life is. I don’t derive self worth from a basketball forum.

You’re a total creep with an ego complex. You mean less than nothing to the program. You’re worse than “just a fan” because your actions have actually taken time away from coaches, recruits and AD staff to deal with your special kind of crazy.

That’s not in any way beneficial to the program.

And you have no recruiting information. Literally none, never have. Any parent with a brain tells you to buzz off.

I do admit I would strongly prefer it be a Tennessee recruiting thread. It’s galling to see fans of other programs celebrate getting recruiting commitments - sometimes from players we were also recruiting - on the recruiting thread for the Lady Vols board. I don’t get letting them advertise in the Recruiting thread. That would better fit in the “Non-Lady Vol News” thread, imo.

However, as I said before, in true “I hate forum policing” spirit, I don’t tend to grouse much about it. Mainly I wonder why so many people are cool with it happening. Like letting your opponent advertise in your town after they beat you.

Someone will probably say “oh but it doesn’t say Tennessee Recruiting thread.” To which my response would be - why is that? Are the orange colored banners at the top and sides of the website not sufficient?

Specific threads die a quick and tragic death. Mostly because fans of other schools won’t stay in their threads. South Carolina and UCONN fans cannot help themselves around here.

And I have to wonder….why do they feel the need to post their recruiting wins in the LV forum?

I mean, I can kind of get it. There aren’t many places that have any conversation about this sport. It doesn’t generate a lot of conversations or have big communities around it, and you’ll not find many as active as this board. At least here you can talk about it and people will respond and possibly even understand.

But I agree that it can also be a bit of crowing for some. Again, just think that should fall under general non-LV news.

Yes, I was aware. Just wanted to let people know that your idea is not crazy, and that there are programs out there that have done just that.
