New Dobbs article

An athletic line that plays with a big heart and a chip on their shoulder, with no expectations will more than likely be a dangerous group of young men. Will probably even be a surprising bright spot for this team. If not...we may not have enough QB's. Just sayin. GBO!

Neighbor Newspapers - Former Alpharetta star Dobbs shines at Tennessee

Interesting article. The writer even goes on to say Dobbs is the signal caller for the 2014 season ... does he know something we dont?

I'm sure this is just him giving Dobbs publicity and not stating facts, right?

It's not a direct quote and it wouldn't surprise me to learn that Dobbs told them his goal is to win the starting job. That should be the goal for all of our QBs including Peterman. Not anything to read into.

Oh boy, oh boy, I hope this article tells us how smart he is. Off to read it right now!

Isn't the signal caller the guy on the sidelines calling the play into the QB???...

Yup. Thats exactly the way we want, and need, all our qb's to be.

Agree with Eastknox...we're probably gonna need more than one qb this year.

If you watched the orange and white game this year, then you could definitely see that he (Dobbs) is much improved from last year. I still think Worley is the clear starter though, but that's just my own personal opinion.

With Worley you know what you are getting a mediocre starter who will throw for 16 TDS and 9 INTS. Beat someone we are not suppose to beat and loose to someone we are not suppose to loose to. Probably get 6-6 record guaranteed.

Dobbs has better dual threat and is a better overall athlete and will throw for more TDS 20 but more INTS 13. He could beat Georgia and Florida maybe USC, but could also loose by more than 30 to all of them to. He could get us a 8-4 record but also could give us a 5-7 record too..... Hmmmmmmmm

ridiculous statement is ridiculous

I didn't sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night and I don't know who will be the QB. Based on CBJ's prior statements that the QB will be the most consistent guy your reasoning supports Worley as the starter.

Both Worley and Dobbs will be starting QB this year. The only question is which one is Coach Jones going to trot out there to suck first.

Sounds like a puff piece for the "hometown kid." Doubt the author has any great insight into the QB competition.

Though, I would love to see both Worley and Dobbs improve significantly. Maybe that can help offset the fact that our O-line is probably not going to be very good.

SIAP: The Neighbor newspapers are a chain of free weekly newspapers that you receive whether you like it or not, based on where you live in the Atlanta area. Just another way for the Marietta Daily Journal to make some $$. I doubt this writer knows anything about UT football.

Dobbs, Jennings, or Gibson.
Any of the above would make you happy no matter how badly they play.

Worley, Ferguson, Dormady. Any of them could have a bunch of turnovers and throw passes in the dirt ten yards from the wrs and people would still pump them up.

We will be pleasantly surprised with Worley this year. OL is a bigger question mark than the QB position. JMHOIYAMTIFWIWTBHBBQ
