New FDA Rule

It's still not as efficient as having it on the front of the box. I will hold to that. Restaurants have books with nutrition info, too, for what its worth. I don't think they are included in this though, for obvious reasons.

So? Having a government employee come to your house and provide you with your healthy meals would be even more efficient than that. When did this become the role of the FDA or any government agency, to make sure private companies are making your life efficient?

If people want this then let companies voluntarily do this. If the demand is there, they will. If it isn't, they won't.

I am not going to change your mind and you aren't going to change mine. I don't feel that this is important enough to continue discussing. Like I said, my reasons for even caring about this are almost wholly selfish, so I will leave it at that.

You're confusing "selfish" with "laziness" emain. :)

Eh, I work hard enough without worrying about what Mrs. X thinks about the saturated fat content of the organic sweet potato chips, I just want her to put the damn bag down and get out of my way. I guess my problem is I am too lazy to cuss her. :)

what makes you think nutrition labels on the front is going to stop Ms. Soccer Mom from reading the label? Unless everything in the store you shop at is eye-level, people are going to continue to pick up packaging to check nutrition information.

My problem with this is that it's another pointless government regulation.

If she has to bend over to check things on the bottom shelf, I will be more than happy to wait in line.

Never thought of that did ya? :)

On a somewhat related note, I bought a box of Band-Aid brand bandages that had braille on the box. First time I had ever seen that on a consumer packaged good. And to think it did not require the FDA to make that evil company offer that.
