New HBO Series: Eastbound and down.

Danny McBride was on Jimmy Kimmel last night and when asked whether this was going to be the final season was very ambiguous with his response. He basically said that from the beginning, he and Jody Hill had always thought that if they could last 3 seasons that would be a huge success. He said there was a good chance that this was the final season, but that he wouldn't completely rule out the show continuing beyond season 3 either.

Cool. Good info. Seems like they are leaving things open for a possible 4th season in the majors. They could also easily wrap everything up.

Looks like that was it. The finale was pretty weak, imo. April could have at least taken her top off again.

Yeah. Worst finale ever. Show deserved better.

That's a bit overstated. I was still disappointed with the way things ended. I actually really would have liked it if Kenny had just ended up dead as it looked like he was going to. I don't really know what a better endgame for the story was than that. For 3 seasons we had watched Kenny not mature or learn anything from his mistakes and all of a sudden at the end he just abandons his dream of playing in the big leagues to become this great family man. Not the ending I had hoped for.

Sopranos had the worst ending ever imo. I agree , Kenny should have just died in the crash. That said , Hill and McBride said that this was just the tale of Kenny Powers and they may come back with another idea for Kenny. Other stories and new ones. I think they really wanted to kill him in the last show , but $ is what it's all about at the end of the day. If McBride fails at other projects , he can always come back to this. It's not like he doesn't act a little like Powers in almost every role he plays anyway.

Sopranos ending gets a bad rap . He gets killed by the dude in the members only jacket.

I kind of agree. I think the Sopranos ending gets a bad rap because it is so outside the box in terms of most endings. I did not like that it left me hanging after such an epic series, but the way it ended on the other hand was really good, because he never saw it coming. That was something that was hammered into every single episode.

Hard to explain, but I don't think the Sopranos is as bad of an ending as some would want to argue. That ending is something I won't ever forget. I can't say that about many tv shows. I hated it right when I first saw it, but over time I think it is probably the best way they could have done it. To each his own I guess.

Hmmm....new season? I hope they improve on that ending. Was pretty disappointed with the show the last couple episodes.

I was mostly disappointed with Season 3. Had some really funny laughs here and there but compared to S1 and 2 it was mediocre. I thought it made Kenny out to be a pathetic loser instead of the bad ass he always thought he was.

I'll watch S4. Hope it improves from S3 though.
