Jabari McGhee, the first for coach Tyndall at UT. Sounds like a solid pick-up. Had a couple of other SEC offers. I lifted this from TOS:

Averaged 17 and 9 as a HS senior in GA. Having trouble finding his Hargrave stats.

Found this little blurb on him from an Under Armour showcase event last year:
2014 6’8″ Jabari McGhee (Hargrave Military Academy-VA)- Major bruiser on the interior. Relentless on the offensive glass and runs the floor like a deer.

Also, this from last month:
There is something to be said about a player who is consistent. Each time out on the court, you know what you are going to get from Jabari and it revolves around his big time motor. McGhee is a double double waiting to happen. He crashes the boards, pushes the break, and gets to the basket. His motor is infectious, and his winning ways seem to translate. With his recent test scores in hand, it looks like McGhee’s qualification is imminent. Fresh off his first official to Western Kentucky,Georgia Tech and Ole Miss offered this week and South Carolina is close. McGhee says he will take all four visits, and that relationship and comfort will play a major role.

And this:
DJ Foreman and Jabari McGhee have a Man’s Game
When describing each of these player’s skill sets the first couple of words I think of are ‘tough’ and ‘motor’. Each of these guys have great height, broad shoulders, and long limbs. The 6’8 Morgan has committed to Rutgers while the 6’8 McGhee remains uncommitted. Each player is a tough defensive rebounder, and has the skill to lead the break with control. Morgan was his game’s MVP in a route over New River Community College and McGhee was his game’s MVP in a route over St John’s Northwestern

This is a nice pick-up for Coach Tyndall at this stage. Sounds like a perfect fit for Tyndall's system--long, athletic, and relentless. I know Tyndall said in an interview that he believed that there were around 10-15 good to really good players left out there that were what he was looking for. Sounds like he was able to get one of them as this guy's game fits the profile of what he was looking for to a T. It's going to take a little time to implement and fill the roster with the type of players he needs to run his system to its fullest potential but it's going to be a damn exciting brand of basketball when that time comes. He said he wanted to look like Louisville on defense. I've heard many compare his style to what Pearl's team looked like in his first couple of years which I'm hoping for because I love that style of play.

Thought same thing when reading one if the quotes on his game in this thread. Chris Dortch said before that a D1 coach mentioned we would be animals on the offensive glass and tough as nails and that was this kids description to a T

Based on what they are saying in the bball forum, we most likely will have up to 4 commits after this weekend.

No, just expect to win recruiting battles with schools other than Chattanooga and Florida Gulf Coast

I love this type of entitled attitude from some "fans".

UT basketball hasn't done squat (well, up until this year) in years and these mopes expect every recruit to be a 5*.

Also, considering the fact we have a brand new coach and that Zo's recruiting class is falling apart, I'd take a kid with talent and at least a two SEC offers right now, especially one with some size. Really, do you expect *4/5* kids to be beating down CDT's door at this stage in the game?

Quit bashing these kids who want to play for UT. Grow up.

If you see us in these type recruiting battles for 2015 recruits then you have a reason to gripe, but for now shut the hell up and quit your endless bi**hing.

The K-State offer to me was pretty interesting.

Some people look at recruiting solely from the standpoint of who has offered. While it can be a decent judge of talent, it is not the tell all end all that some think it is.

There was about a three month period of time about two years ago when Fade crawled out of his hole of doom and became pretty optimistic........then the 2012 season happened and Dooley ruined it. It may be permanent this time.
