ESPN's Franchise Player Draft - ESPN

15 minutes until this "franchise player" draft kicks off. I think it could be interesting.

SP- Lincecum, Kershaw, Sabathia
C- Posey/McCann/Santana
1B- Pujols/M. Cabrera/Votto
2B- Cano/Prado/Philips
SS- Tulo/Hanley Ramirez/Castro
3B- Longoria/Zimmerman/Wright or Alvarez
LF- Gonzalez/Hamilton/Holliday
CF- McCutchen/Hamilton/Kemp
RF- Heyward/Cruz/Stanton

Phillips over Uggla. (Braves fan, .175 avg)
Cabrera over Gonzo (just preference I guess)
Added Starling Castro at SS
Prado over Pedroria (Prado is just a beast)
Holliday over Crawford

*I stil think at 34 Doc has to be considered at SP. Same with Felix Hernandez, but actually becuase of success plus youth.

I like them both, but I would have to choose phillips over pedroia

Phillips is simply the best defensive 2b in the league, Pedroia has a leg up offensively with a bit less power. It's probably close to a wash depending on lineups

Dustin isn't chopped liver in the field either.

Phillips is very good though.

Cano is the best offensive 2B. Pedroia and Phillips are both a bit more well rounded
