*****New offers under the Pruitt administration

To think that Bama playing for a national championship, a school we compete with for recruits, means good publicity for Tennessee because our future coach is on the sidelines coaching their D is just plain naive. It helps Bama and only Bama.

Completely disagree fade. Recruits are going to be watching, and they're going to be listening to the commentators talking about the new head coach at the University of Tennessee.

The recruiting angle on his coaching in this game is so naive.

First of all, recruiting is about relationships, not one game on tv.

Second, the idea that a couple of mentions of our new head coach outweighs actually seeing Bama play IN THE GAME is ludicrous.

Totally agree

And they’ll see Saban hoist another crystal football over his head. Oh look, there’s Pruitt in the background. What do you think has more impact on recruiting?

Fade, c'mon.. Stop pulling things out of my post that aren't there. My point was simply because of his involvement in several campionship teams it will 'pull weight' with recruits. If I were young, it would mean more to me than some BS 'brick by brick' sales pitch.

I know your not 100%, all the time negative but you have to admit you tend to hang out on the dark side more often than not. I'm not the only one who has seen this..

I will say, in my time here, you don't waffle and I respect that. Also I feel like I can discuss/argue with you and the next day it's a 'clean slate' between us..

It’s always a clean slate brother. Nothing on here is personal to me. There are several posters on here that I used to argue with about everything and now I find myself liking much of what they post.

I realize that. What I’m saying is that a coordinator who received natty rings can’t then take a HC position at another school and walk in to a kids living room and credibly say he has won a national championship.

Nor can the head coach. They're all part of a team.

But the rings do give him credibility, when he's talking about building a team to get another ring, especially when he can show more than one ring, and from more than one school.

Can we post something besides embedded tweets. They wont pull up & yes I have cleared memory & logged back in

Click the link, then go to the address bar, set your cursor just left of the second "https", backspace to eliminate everything to the left, then use the URL that remains. Doesn't eliminate the problem, just a workaround for PCs, probably too much of a pain on a mobile device.

When posting a link to a Tweet, I'm no longer using the link icon in the editor here. I'm just pasting the link as text, letting the editor parse it as a hyperlink.

My last one is an example.

Grad transfer offer. Wallace started 9 games for Cal in 2016 but did not play this last season, per Simonton.

No explanation for why he was "no longer associated" with the team. Academics?

Hi guys, Mike Singer here from the Rivals network.

I spoke with California WR Nikko Hall's father, and he told me that Tennessee offered him a scholarship tonight.

Hall is a four-star who is signing in February. Tennessee has a lot of time to make up ground in his recruitment.

It's probably a little overstated, but it's a silver lining. With the millions watching the game, it wouldn't surprise me if a few kids who don't know much about Tennessee have their interests piqued from the game.

But mostly, I agree. Nobody is gonna sign here because they heard us mentioned in the playoff game or games.

Ah, but think about the exposure and free advertising for OUR HC when they show him a hundred times during the playoffs. He will be a hot topic.

You're kidding, right? You think that it will be more than a fleeting mention (at best)?

Bama playing for and winning championships should make any orange blooded Vol nauseated. I hope Pruitts Bama defense gives up 60 to Clemson.

No no no no no

We want Bama to lose 9-7 with Bama's only score being on defense and 1-2 of Clemson's FGs coming off of Alabama turnovers in their own territory.

That way Pruitt can talk up how well his unit did AND we get to see Bama lose.
