New Video Shows Bama Player Intentionally Hitting MULTIPLE UT Fans

Wow. That overhead view makes it look even worse when he hits that girl at the end. I give the guy a lot of latitude due to how crazy it was on the field, but you have to at least give him some sort of token punishment that you can announce to the public. Just a bad look not to at least sit him for a half or issue a statement something.
If it was that crazy there, why is he the only individual who was seen doing anything like this? With players, coaches, assorted staff, etc. there had to be well over 100 on the Bama sideline and yet he's the sole person doing anything like this. To me that indicates it's on him rather than the situation.

Obviously Bama will nothing. Sankey is the one completely failing to act and permitting another SEC member's fans to be treated this way without even mentioning it.

Sankey will now increase the fine for storming the field to remedy this situation...you know it'll happen

It automatically goes up. Started at 25,000 when UT fans rushed basketball court, 100,000 for this incident, next incident will be 250,000. Don’t know what happens after that or if that is just the maximum. I think the SEC came up with that formula a few years ago.

It was crazy down there and it looks like fans bumped into the players leaving the field. If someone runs into me, especially the 3rd or 4th person, I would probably give them a shove.
Does not excuse slapping at a girl that has/is out of the way. Not jail time but should have been suspended at least one game IMO.

Two rumors I've heard:
1) Fans said some horribly racist things to him, and both schools want it to all go away.
2) There's video no one is putting out showing another player chasing a fan.

1- That's almost always the excuse when a player does something like that. It's not an excuse, even though I doubt it's true. ALL the fans were saying racist things? Other players didn't hear it?

I guess I am old school, but Saban is losing it.

His rants on the sidelines at players is over the top and cannot be good for recruiting
His lack of preparation for several games this year is a sign of decline.
The Burton situation and his response/actions shows a lack of respect for the conference
His game management
The penalties is a reflection of Coaching as well
The fact that he could not admit that Tennessee beat them outright
This team has no discipline and have turned into a bunch of prima donnas

His excuses - not chanting before the game. NIL.

Came from a bama assistant to a media member I trust. Not saying I believe it to be the case, and I agree it is no excuse. I was really more interested in there supposedly being video of another bama player chasing a fan which I was told looks a lot worse than this one.

Wow. I'd say some outlets like Outkick would pay a lot of money for that video. Not sure who has that video but am curious as to why they are sitting on it.

So what does the league recommend? Barbed wire along the stands? A fully armed National Guard Battalion on the field? Machine gun nests? Seriously, how can they expect UT or any school to safely stop tens of thousands of people from going where they want to go? I guess they could start arresting people but they would spend days transporting them to processing a van load at a time.
How does the league in good conscience fine a school for not doing the impossible? Might as well fine a school for letting it come a rainstorm during the game.

Don't give Sankey any more ideas. He's probably got a stack from Saban to punish Tennessee from just this week alone.

Yeah, that’s a load of horse plop.. everyone was busy celebrating and rushing to congratulate and cheer our players that we love who are also mostly black.. they are just confabulations, Bama people look more and more dumb with every passing day.. they just need to admit the player lost his temper and everyone just apologize

What could someone say that was racist and directly towards him? Both of our teams are 80% black. Some other players else would’ve surely reacted to the racial slurs.
I may be in the minority, but none of those people have pressed charges (to my knowledge), and it didn’t look too bad……so I say, let’s move on and forget about it. Let the Bammers whine and live in the past.

The only way this is going to get real attention is if the victims of his assaults go to the police department and file charges. This would force the NCAA, SEC, and Alabama to respond to the criminal allegations that are on video tape.

These Ridiculous Threads need to stop! Fans who rush the field and aggressively approach an athletic competition do so at their own risk
Fans who dare to click on said threads do so at risk of reading content they may not approve of.

So your OK with a grown man hitting a female…..as long as the female is on a football field after a game?

Or your simply willing to make excuses for men hitting females?

This didn't happen. There weren't any fans saying racist things when rushing the field They were more interested in the win and celebrating. not in running around finding Bama players and saying racists things to them. Its just really dumb that anyone would believe it in that moment.
