Newport Animal Shelter Closing - Euthanizing Animals July 1

The shelter workers didn't write the policy. They're following the rules established by the shelter that adhere to the standards that the Humane Society recommends.

"We do not adopt out "outdoor pets." Pets that are left outside to do not bond as readily with their owners and are prone to nuisance behaviors like barking, escaping, roaming, digging, predatory behavior and other destruction. If applicants currently have an "outdoor pet" their adoption may be denied."

The policy is stupid, that's why I never give one red cent to any of those orginizations. You are correct that they are just following the rules but when they treat you like some third class citizens, you tend to not hold them in the best of lights. I think they're f'd up, it's well within your rights to think otherwise.

So in your world all posts are accusatory?

I still wonder if you know the definition of that word.

Why would you post that in response to my post if you didn't think I was planning on letting the dog run free? You jumped to a conclusion. It's ok to be wrong occasionally.

Ask anyone on this board if they would have taken it any different than I did.

Again, I didn't accuse you of anything. I made a comment that it is f'd up to allow pets to run free. You jumped to a conclusion.

It's a comment, Bubba. You're the one that jumped to a conclusion and started cussing.

I still think you need to learn what "accuse" means.

Why would you even bring it up? It makes zero sense to say that in response to my post unless you thought, wrongly, that I intended to let my dogs run loose.

It's ok. Learn from this. Next time maybe ask, " do you intend to let your dogs run loose?" before you decide to tell someone they're f'd up and stupid.

Anybody on here think I took his post wrong?

Who did I tell they're f'd up and stupid?

Like I said, your meaning was obvious.

Obviously you can't comprehend the meaning of a comment.

Maybe you should ask for clarification from somebody that has posted a comment BEFORE saying they're a dumbass and a jackass.

I bet you do let your dogs loose anyway. In your first post you didn't say that you'd keep them fenced. You said that they'd be on a farm.

Nuff said. You're a judgmental jackass.

I interacted with them, they were rude and obnoxious. I responded in kind. You weren't there. You know zero of my interactions with them. I bet they appreciate you being their knight in shining armor.

So these people were rude and obnoxious and then you responded. You might have that backwards.

I made an effort once to adopt a dog that was a few years old that was being kept at a foster home. It was close in age to my dog and about the same size and I thought he would enjoy the company while I was at work.
Holy crap, that woman that had this dog lived on a farm and thought that since I didn't have 50 acres of fenced in back yard that I was the devil.
It's no surprise that some animals never get adopted.
