Memphis was not any good before Calipari. The best they did was make the NIT. They went to Memphis to play for Cal, not Memphis. Cal is gone and they are not going to go there anymore.

Memphis was what it was because of John Calipari. Not because it is a "basketball power house". They weren't even winning the C-USA tournament until Cal got there. Even with the recruiting hot bed. Come on now Memphis isn't a great Job. JMO

It, all of a sudden, becomes a great job when you're offered $3 million for it.

Pretty sure we have enough "Pearl" threads. This is getting redundant.

Larry Kenon, Larry Finch, Keith Lee, Andre Turner, Vincent Askew, Elliott Perry, Penny Hardaway, and Lorezen Wright respectfully say you don't have the first clue what you're talking about.

Yea, you're right, I think they've only made 3 final fours in their entire history. That's terrible compared to us.

How many national championships do they have? It's all about the hardware, right?

How many Final Fours does Tennessee have? Hardware is the goal but carping proponents of teams or schools that haven't even made it into the arena gets old after a while.

1 NC appearance, 1 Final Four, 1 Elite 8, and 4 Sweet 16s in last 26 years that Cal had nothing to do with says otherwise. It is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are ignorant than to open your mouth and confirm it.

While I still loathe Memphis High, all this discussion has led me to believe that UM basketball IQ is much higher than ours. If BP goes, I hope your fans appreciate him more than many posers on this board. He will be missed by the UT basketball fans who know just exactly how much he brought to KTown. I dread the return to the Dark Ages.

If you knew anything, then you would know that WWW will be seen in Kentucky now, not Memphis.

Yes William Wesley will be hanging out in Kentucky, but if Calipari was paying him off then it is Calipari that will get canned. Also Memphis will lose their national runner-up last year, two elite 8s the two years before, and the over 130 wins in the last 4 years. Memphis will get in trouble for this since all the players went there through Wesley. Wagner, Rose, and Evans, they are products of the scam between Wesley and Calipari, and it will eventually catch up to them, always does....

So 5 good years out of 25 is a huge program ? More like every 5 years they catch a great class and go to the elite eight. You do realize that a tourney birth, Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final 4 and NC all must happen in 1 yr. Or were you referring to Cal's last 6 yrs as a total ?

Don't think WWW will be at UK.
