Now that they canned Tommy Amaker, who do you think the Wolverines will go after? My list would include the following list of suspects:
Tony Bennett (not the crooner that left his heart in San Francisco)
John Beilien
Mike Montgomery
Tubby Smith
Bruce Pearl
Steve Lavin

Especially after all the progress he has started, the renovations and such, and the Dane Bradshaw scholarship that he started.

Speaking of Amaker and his Duke connection, has Coach K for all his greatness been very sucessful in turning out head coaches like say a Dean Smith or Bobby Knight?

The only ones I can think of are Quinn Snyder and Tommy Amaker, who've both been let go in the past two seasons.

So compared to Knight and Smith, definitely not. Compared to Billy Donovan, probably not. Compared to Jerry Green, yeah, probably.

BP won't leave this year. His will be fodder for the ESPN 24 hour screamers on the radio that I somehow have to listen to, now that I didn't rewew my XM-Radio contract (economy move so my could remodel the kitchen:banghead2: )

John Beilien has such a large buyout, he's not going anywhere. Tubby Smith actually makes sense. It would allow him to leave Kentucky in a manner that is mutually acceptable. My guess is that Chris Lowery, Dana Altman, and Rick Majerus get calls.

Is Majerus' health any better now than it was when he was the coach at USC for half an hour?

I would love to see Rick Majerus back coaching, though I would want a paramedic well schooled in CPR on the sidelines with him as it doesn't appear that he has lost any of his centripital adiposity.

I remember reading an interview about a year ago where Majerus said his health was good enough to return to coaching if he wanted to do so.

Funny thing about losing weight, the Maryland FB coach (Ralph Freigen) lost all that weight with the encouragement of the students and administration, and forgot how to coach. He regained a lot of it back last year and had a nice season. Now nobody at Maryland is pushing him to diet.:birgits_giggle:
