We know Georiga#1-Ohio St #2-Michigan #3 but will TCU jump in the 4th spot over Tennessee and Vols be 5th?BTW,do the rankings come out Tuesday or Monday?

Probably so.. as much as I hate to say it but TCU is the underdog and media darling as they say. We could still get in with TCU being undefeated, but I doubt it. Really need them to lose.

If we win out,Michigan or Ohio St will lose the one game we know but Im pulling for Ohio St to beat Michigan,it will really help the Vols to make the playoff!

Guessing #6. They want the PAC market to care about this. We can whine about margin of loss and they can say it was week 1 and they control their destiny to win their conference.

There will be one open spot for the Vols because of the loss either to OS or Michigan!

Nobody has the absolute answer, but a TCU loss would make me feel better!
It would suck to be praying the night before the final 4 are released that we make the cut, to be left out at number 5. I mean it would suck but a new years Eve bowl is pretty sweet too.

If they don’t bump us out of the top 4 this week they won’t get another chance. We will run through these last 3 games and wait for the judges to score the season.

Vols will be 4. Our only loss to the No.1 team in the nation with huge wins over LSU and Bama. Michigan and Ohio state, one will lose and tenn will be no.3 going into the playoffs. Which I much prefer. We will smoke either michigan or Ohio state and rematch Georgia in the national championship on neutral ground

We didn't help ourselves with the eye test yesterday. OSU basically played in a monsoon yesterday, so that won't hurt them. At some point the committee will have to reward TCU, at least until they lose. We will more than likely be 5th.

I don't see any way that we stay in top 4. Likely 5 or 6 but could be worse considering the performance exhibited yesterday. All we can hope is that there is no hangover from this and take care of business and let the chips fall where they may. Cliche much?

TCU can’t keep coming from behind and winning, that’s what has held them back so far. Can’t keep looking rough against inferior opponents and think you’re gonna make the playoffs.

I think it’ll be GA, Mich, OSU, UT, then LSU at 5, but I wouldn’t be surprised if LSU is 4 and we’re 5. We need LSU to win out because that will look good for us.

Yes, need a tcu loss b/c they will push a PAC-whatever team… there are currently 3 1 loss teams out there… Oregon, usc, & UCLA… you would think our SOS would be enough to keep us ranked above those teams, but I don’t trust the committee on that…

Yeah the dominating LSU win should be the difference. That turned out to our biggest win of the season.

Might very well do that, but if either of those teams have the talent at DB, I suspect they might be able to do what UGA did and that's play up on us and man to man....especially OSU. They're one of the very few who routinely recruit at the bama/uga level. Let's be honest, we don't know how the Vols will respond to what happened last night. They might come out and destroy our last 3 opponents. If they have a hangover and don't show up ready to roll against mizzou, it might be a difficult or as some would say...trap game for UT. We had our britches yanked down on a national stage yesterday. After being stopped and exposed, I think every team we play from here on out will have the exact same plan of attack. Some won't have the talent to do it, but some might have a few parts and some success. We're good but not so good that we can skate by with average performances. OSU and Michigan won't be as easy as you assume. Both are unbeaten for a reason.

I’m thinking 5 with all the undefeated teams 1-4. We being the highest ranked 1 loss. As long as us and UGA win out I think we get in playing the Big 10 champ.
