More corporate bailouts.
Yes, this is insane........there could be certain segments or types of businesses that maybe could make a claim for help, but, part of business is mitigating risk, proper planning and due diligence, and always planning worst case scenario's and moving forward from there.
One of my professor's at Kellogg said very simply, just as in life, the gazelle needs to tread lightly, learn from day one, refine their intuition, and make solid sound choices, because everywhere he turns there is something or someone waiting to rip his head off, and as in life, as is in business, there are no tomorrow's sometimes, and you need to do today what gives you the best probability to a tomorrow, and even then, there is no guarantee....
Unfortunately, it is a difficult thing for many small businesses who do thrive on the concept that it is family and the owners and operators are truly decent humans and feel it is their responsibility to keep their "family" members, or employees, able to live and provide a living for their families. And, again, unfortunately, it are these who suffer, not any type of goliath 5A or multi billion dollar entity, as their cash flow will still be there no matter how terribly they are run or lacking in cash or reserves, because simply they are carrying heavy debt and credit lines that the banks will not allow to fail, as they are all too much invested in the outcome as well.
However, banks are also beginning to tighten on debt and credit that will be hitting the mid tier larger medium to minor (maybe 2-3 billion - 50 million types) badly. They are the meat that the goliaths will devour and absorb through liquidation or by literally saving said entity and then putting that new entity into the vertical or horizaontal integration only increasing their power and market shares.
It definitely isn't an issue for the name brand and nationally and world wide recognized "corporate" big names, and that any of them receive a dime, is a crime.
