With Eric Maclain and these guys its a good start. Florida,Ohio, Louisiana, Georgia all have sick in-state talent. I think after we lock down Tennessee the Dooley Truck will be in full motion in these states, next years class should be top 5.

We should bring everything we got to these 7 guys, no reason to not sign them all.

Can't our coaches get at least 1 day off before being advised on who they should recruit next year ... lol, j/k ... gotta recruit 24/7/365 right?

there are some big name schools coming after most of those kids. Hopefully we can lock them all down seeing as there are some good athletes and some big ol/dl listed

Not that we'll have a great need for a QB, but Mike Wegzyn (Knoxville Catholic HS) deserves a close look. It'll be a short drive too!

Would be willing to live with a class that isnt in the top 5 if it is heavy on talented DL and OL prospects. No point having 2011 top 5 class full of wr qbs and dbs. Clearly the safety from Memphis would be an exception and if JJ continues to progress then it would be a great selling point to offer him one year of playing with him before JJ goes pro. But Im encouraged by the fact that 3 of the players listed are dl/ol.

Does considering mean that they have received offers? Or just places they are considering they would like to be next year? Im sure there are a few kids who are considering FLA, LSU, and TENN but will only get offers from Carson, LMU,and Austin Peay.

I will go out on a limb and say this ... I am 100% confident James Stone was the first of many TN boys talented enough to play D1 ball ... that will now give UT serious consideration with DD at the helm, that would not have under Boy Wonder.

One of our coaches was on the Memphis coaching staff (his name escapes me atm) but that should help with the recruiting in West Tennessee

Don't count on it, man.
I go to Memphis, and everyone under (now fired) Tommy West's staff neglected recruiting.

I think when West got axed, the Tigers had like 5 recruits. Compared to other C-USA teams with 15-20.

Add Larry Porter (UofM's new coach) and his ties to LSU, he's going to recruit some decent talent to Memphis (or about as good a talent as the C-USA can get.

Give Dooley 15mins with these kids, their mammas, daddys, grandma... He will get them.

Antonio Richardson should be the #1 target for next year in my opinion.

Anyone on that list that plays on the line should defintely be a priority...with Richardson definitely being #1...

I'd be shocked if he's not the consensus #1 in Tennessee next year...although Washington could give him a run for the money from what I hear

Is Long related to Austin Long?

I bet he is...if so that's going to be a battle with UGA

Good luck with all those Memphis kids, Dooley. As has been discussed several times on this board, "locking down" west Tennessee is impossible.
