I really like all the ideas... but how do you plan on getting 100,000 people to take part? Surely if people still get up for the "wave" (*rolls eyes*) they would take part in this!

UT should be able to sell sponsorship for a “chant of the game” or even a fan contest for a “chant for the year”. With the JUMBO TRON it would be easy to educate the fans. The cheerleaders could have boards made to further assist the crowd that is paid for with the sponsorship money:clapping:.

Jon Cooper on Saturday Down South has the Vols at 5-5.

Reason #1: Schedule

If you look at Tennessee’s schedule on paper, it is very tough. They host Oregon, Florida, Bama, Kentucky and Mississippi this year in Neyland, but let’s face it – I’ve heard a bird’s nest chirp louder than the Vol faithful this decade. Tennessee will be lucky to beat one of those teams. If the students won’t even come to games, you know you’re losing the fan base.

Basically stating no such thing as home field advantage at Neyland.

What will it take for Neyland to be a true hostile environment for opposing teams???

Not sure I care too much about the opinion of ole Jon if he thinks college football seasons are 10 games long.

Oh cool I didn't know we had cut the games down to only 10! When did this take effect?!?!?

*sarcasm*

Even when Neyland isn't sold out... it still gets loud. I've gone to almost evey home game since I was kid in the late 90s. Never heard it so quiet you could hear a pin drop or anything!

My suggestion is to get rid of Bon Jovi or any other southern/classic rock music before, during and after the game.

Still looking for more contributions!!!

I was thinking about VOL NATION support during the game last night. UT should be able to sell sponsorship for a “chant of the game” or even a fan contest for a “chant for the year”. With the JUMBO TRON it would be easy to educate the fans. The cheerleaders could have boards made to further assist the crowd.
Coach Dooley is doing everything he can to make this team better. It is time for the VOL NATION to step up and lend the support needed to create a 7 point home field advantage. Not the simple 3 points that the comes with just showing up to Neyland Stadium. How many games outcomes would be changed with an extra 4 point on the score board for the VOLS.
Don’t get me wrong the game day experience at Neyland Stadium is amazing “as is.” This team deserves more from the VOL NATION to prove their commitment to make this team better in every way possible.
I really, really hope this is satire.

As long as we stop "livin on a prayer" the Neyland experience will improve!

I like the olp idea. Maybe not every 5 yrds but every 1st down or when they are struggling to move on the ground. I have always wondered how do you get chants started so eveyone is on same page anyway?
