Opposing teams fans say that our seats are way too narrow. I don't disagree with them, but are the seats in Neyland that much more narrow than Florida, UGA, LSU, Auburn, etc? For that matter is there a site that has official seat widths of SEC stadiums?

i dont think their is a certain width they have to be. I've never had a problem with our seats unless someone sneaks on a row or something. Go to Michigan thats where a seat problem is at. They give you literally about 10 inches to sit in. People stand the whole game because no one can sit.

Hmmmm. Maybe that will solve our problem. Maybe we have too much room to sit and be comfy.

Neyland is cramped. i still love it, but right now, it is not fan friendly....from a comfort standpoint anyway...

The seats are wide enough for the average person at Neyland. My problem is that there is not enough room between the rows. If you get up to go to bathroom, it is very difficult to walk. Everyone's knees are close to the back of those in the next row.

Neyland is fine the way it is. It has been a great stadium for many years. Yes it is difficult to go to the bathroom, but it is that way at any stadium pro or college that I have visited. As for the "old people" comment, my father is loud and yells but his knees are bad and he can't stand the entire game so throw that idea right out the window. By the way, you will be one of those "old people" one day and it comes on you sooner than you think.

Sure it's tight, just like it's supposed to be. Football stadiums are not built to be stadium-seating movie theaters. They are built to pack as many fans in as possible, maximizing the volume and home-field advantage while raking in ticket money. The seat width is perfectly fine for a person of reasonable body habitus.

I have no problem with people sitting if they are debilitated or even if they just feel like it. I DO, however, have a problem with people telling everyone else to quiet down or sit down. If you want a quiet, clear view of the field from your derrier, I'd advise you to stay on your couch. The rest of us will be doing our darnedest to bring back the fear of playing in K-town.

Cramped bathrooms are the worst, espcially when you have to use the universal water troff.

Why? We can pee in the woods, off balconies, and in the lake, but can't use a trough? Again, the bathroom at home should provide plenty of comfort.

I know a person who tried that, and got arrested for indecent exposure.

I guess using the universal water troff at stadiums is alright, if you think about it, it might remind you of Vegas.

ah, and there in lies the problem, most of the folks at the stadium these days need assistance to stand up anymore...hence the requests for those that can stand under our own power to remain seated!!!!!!!

The biggest problem I have with Neyland is no handrails going up and down the aisles. One missed step and your the boulder from 'Raiders of the Lost Ark.'
