Neyland Stadium...Too Cramped?

We could solve all of this with designated seating areas. The debilitated in one section, the women who talk about everything else but football in one section, a children's section, a passed out drunk section, a "that guy" section and I would like to chaperone the hot woman section..

ah, and there in lies the problem, most of the folks at the stadium these days need assistance to stand up anymore...hence the requests for those that can stand under our own power to remain seated!!!!!!!
I enjoy the games with my father who is older and "needs assistance". He is still loud and never tells anyone to sit down. He has to ride the elevator and hates every minute of it but he bleeds orange. He had open heart surgery and watched the 6 OT Arkansas game from his ICU bed yelling across the river from Downtown Baptist. So, not all the "need assistance" are the problem.

wasn't intended to offend, and it was a generalization, so sorry if i did offend...my grandfather who is 80+ years old was going to games up until 3 years ago as well...and he would classify as the needs assistance as well....which is why he stopped going to the games every year...

in any case, didn't mean to offend, i'm sure there are plenty of those folks that still get in to it, but i think there are many, many more there that sit on their hands...that's what i was getting at.

No offense taken, just pointing out that not all the slow and creaky are quiet and cranky. I will be there yellin for him when he can no longer yell.

I usually sit in one of those areas where there are a lot of older fans, mainly because they having been buying season tickets forever so they have slowly buy surely crept their way into some choice seats (on the 50, 40-odd rows back). It is a conundrum because by he time I give my poor girlfriend (translate designated driver who is indispensible to the mission) enough room to be comfortable I usually have one cheek on the bench and one hanging in mid-air. Since I'm 6'3", I do tend to get some shouts if I stand up sua sponte. I basically have to sit at an angle and pray it's an exciting game so everyone around me will get on their feet and give me some "cover".
