I dont believe they will change it. Neyland will stay Neyland.
I know a VOL fan that will get this crap shut down real quick.Greta I mean this in the nicest way possible and you probably should take this advice:
SHUT THE **** UP
You don’t want this headache in your life because the crazies of #Voltwitter will come after you mercilessly . They are an insane group of people that will do some pretty embarrassing things for our school to make your life miserable. They are psychos, but most importantly they are our psychos.

If the African American players raise a stink about it, then it will change. Hell, the football and basketball players run the AD departments now so if they want all arenas and stadiums named after George Floyd and Colin Kaepernick then that is what will happen. It's not going to change. Just another fringe "list" that right wingers use to show their baseless outrage
That's not even remotely trueIf the African American players raise a stink about it, then it will change. Hell, the football and basketball players run the AD departments now so if they want all arenas and stadiums named after George Floyd and Colin Kaepernick then that is what will happen.
Hell, Mike Gundy had to take a $1m cut in salary because he wore a t-shirt a player didn't like.
I was talking to my dad about the statue. I said theyll want to take that down next. All these heros statues coming down are sad...Yessiree, I remember like it was yesterday when all they wanted to do was just tear down a few confederate statues. Some of us back then who weren’t naive said they would never stop. Take a good look at the Neyland statue the next time you’re at the stadium because it’s coming down one day. Maybe not in 5 years, 10 years or even 20 but it’s destined for the dustbin.
Don't forget the name "Volunteers" will have to go as well after all it comes from the War of 1812 when all the white racist Tennessee men followed that racist General and slave owner Andrew Jackson to Louisiana to attack the innocent British soldiers in the town of New Orleans!Where does this stop?
Project Identifies Athletic Facilities Named After Figures With Racist Pasts | Inside Higher Ed
The football stadium at the University of Tennessee, Neyland Stadium, is named for a former coach who refused to compete against college teams with Black players. Robert Neyland, who was Tennessee’s football coach and an administrator until 1962, also “verbally abused” a Black student for attempting to try out for the basketball team, the project report said.
They said it would just be about Confederate statues as well! It's not going to happen
They said it would just be about Confederate statues as well!
Yet, here we are with statues being torn down or willingly removed by city governments of people like Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, US Grant, Columbus Saints, abolitionists etc...
Some members of the left & MSM are actively talking about destroying Mt. Rushmore. I'd assume the Liberty Bell & Statue of Liberty is next.
At this point I would not be surprised of anything from happening if the liberal left and their extreme activist organizations demand it be gone/changed.
Really....you saw how the AD (Fulmer, Pruitt, etc.) backed the players during this fiasco. You see it with other schools with player that won't play because of (BLANK).I dont believe they will change it. Neyland will stay Neyland.

Or that was just the last straw, fairly or unfairly, for a guy who threatened to send kids back to the ghetto. The same guy who allegedly called one of his team mates the N word.If the African American players raise a stink about it, then it will change.
