I tried to think of a specific game (Florida '04 or something, I guess), but alas. I think we impressed everyone today. Proud of this team and finally proud of this fan base, because they both showed out today. I could barely talk after the game and I know everyone around me was the same.

I can't talk at all...great game by the team and the fans were as loud as i have heard in a long time.

What recruit could not be impressed with that

ESPN tweeted during the 4th quarter

Neyland Stadium is the loudest place on earth right now

...or something close to that

UF 04 IMO, and that was a full house of 108k.

Today's 85-90k or so outdid themselves.

Kind of like the team in the gray unis.

Been going to games all of my 40 years. This is one of the loudest games I can remember.

My voice is gone. Today Neyland stadium was the essence of a home field advantage. If the fans can bring that sort of intensity in two weeks, South Carolina is in trouble.

Good for you--and for all of us who live too far away to make the games on a regular basis, keep up the good work. Make us proud to have a hostile stadium for the visitors.

You did. Still, there were some empty seats scattered about. I think there was some padding going on with those attendance numbers. But, no one left till the end, that's for sure. It sure has been a long time since that was the case.

It was -- that number is inflated. There were way more than 6k empty seats. I could not see the whole stadium but I would say close to 90k.

Loudest it's been in years. I couldn't even hear myself yelling at times. .. voice will be gone for awhile. Despite the loss. . It was great to be a vol today. These players gave everything they had.

I don't think were 102+ but I'd say more along the lines of 97-100 is accurate

Didn't we have a bunch of recruits there today? If so then I bet they had a blast

Lots of recruits -- the crowd, the game, the gray all had to have had a very positive effect on a bunch of recruits both in the stands and watching on TV.

It gets pretty loud from time to time, but on the 4th down play in the first half that GA converted it hit a level I had yet to experience. It was awesome.

They announced attendance of 102,455 so I guess all tickets were sold but there were empty seats in the UT student section and in the Georgia allotment in the upper decks just under the jumbotron. All together, I'd put attendance at 95k. We sounded like 110k though!!!

There were some empty seats before they ran through the T, but once the game was underway, from all the shots I saw, on TV, it looked like a packed house.

Not quite. You can take my word on it. I was there. Student section had some big holes in it an there were empty seats scattered about, especially in the upper deck end zone.

I was there as well and there was no more than a few thousand empty seats. I'd say 98k minimum.

What game were you at?

All the gaps in the seats were in the upper deck. We were packed in the student section like rats.
