NFC Championship: Giants (9-7) @ 49ers (13-3)

Pretty much. I wanted to shoot myself when the Packers and Steelers played but I watched. I didn't watch the Red Sox-Cardinals or Lakers-Celtics though. Football is king

You sound a little jealous. All those teams mentioned by you are right at the top of all time great sports franchises.

Giants make breaks. Patriots are given breaks.

How did they make the breaks? Dumbass Williams made a boneheaded play to not dive on the ball that hit him, and then didn't protect the ball on the punt return in OT. They are damn lucky Ted Ginn wasn't playing.

No offense but I always find it stupid when someone claims you're jealous because you don't like something. I hate the Cubs... can you think of a reason why I would be jealous of them? Certainly not jealous of their 100 year drought. I hated the Red Sox prior to their recent championships, that was almost a 100 year drought as well. What was there to be jealous of at that point? The championships they won 70 years before I was born?

By assuming I'm jealous, is it fair for me to assume you're a bandwagon fan?

I can safely say I dislike more teams than I like in all leagues and that's probably because I really only like my teams. I guess I'm just "a little jealous" of 20 of 30 teams in every league. Sorry for not liking your favorite teams. I'm assuming the fact that I listed the Red Sox and Steelers is the only reason you view me as jealous. If I were jealous, I would just jump on the bandwagon like most of their fans.

Btw... Steelers are a rival of the Titans. Cardinals are a rival of the Astros. Pacers played the Lakers in the championship(wouldn't like them anyways). I live in Packer country around their annoying fans. I don't like the city of Boston or their fans(probably because they claim you're jealous for not liking their favorite teams, haha). Anything else? I'm just amazed the conclusion you draw from my dislike is jealousy. Especially since it doesn't impact my life what so ever at the end of the day. It's a hobby that I play no part in with people I have no connection to.

If you want to play the jealousy card over watching random dudes we don't know, winning and losing meaningless games, I wouldn't be a fan of pro sports at all seeing as they make millions of dollars to play a meaningless game. Now that would be something I could wrap my head around as far as jealousy goes. Football contributes nothing to society other than entertainment and they make millions to do it. They also get to bang just about any chick they want... literally. If a chick says "no", they can just rape em in a bathroom with no repercussions. Heck, they even get a free pass to slit peoples throats.

So yeah... my pointless, long-winded rant is over. It was as pointless as being jealous of a team because they are successful at a meaningless game that you sat on your couch watching.

For the record, are you jealous of Alabama and Kentucky? They are some of the "all-time greats" in football and basketball. Again, I hate lots of bad teams as well. But guess what? Bad teams don't play in championships and I was listing championship games. Not like I could say the Cubs-A's was an awful world series. I hated the Patriots-Rams and Patriots-Eagles Super Bowl as well because I hated all teams involved. Can't think of a reason why anyone would be jealous of the Rams or Eagles.

I feel bad for Williams.

+1

Giants are lucky, Patriots are lucky.

Eli? Not so lucky. I mean, the muffs are lucky, but if Eli were individually lucky, he would've had some run support, and not had his face mashed in. He got hit like 18 times they said. Dude is a baller and played very well.

So before we move on to the SB matchup, what do the 49ers need to focus on improving in the offseason? (besides depth at kick return)

I think they'll be an improved team, regardless of what they add. It seems like they are fairly young and talented. They just need to see more consistency out of QB. That's the bottom line. Smith may be the guy. He played great at times. Maybe that's on the WR's, though.

They need a productive WR that can compliment Davis and Gore. Crabtree has all the tools and ability to be this guy, but it's not happening to date.
