Two sort-of "WOWSERS" already. What does everybody think?

I, for one, think it was mistake to pass on Bush as #1, unless Texas is privy to some much more incriminating evidence than the rest of us. New Orleans's decision was a no-brainer. Young to the Titans. . . .not sure how I feel about that. I guess he is the "atheletic"-type QB that will fit into their system, but I'm not sold on his immediate success at the next level. Guess we'll see. I wonder how far down Cutler will drop, now. Jets, maybe?

I believe the Texans should not have taken Bush, however, I think they should have traded down for more picks, and solidify both their OL and DL with some late first rounders and early second rounders. Bush won't look much better than Davis behind that line, and maybe the Texans weren't getting a lot of trade offers for the #1 spot.

Oh, and, Leinart looks as though he is about to cry. Tough day for the lad, I mean, now he will only make x amount of millions instead of xx millions.

Wow. One more surprise. It's fairly obvious that money is playing a large part in this draft.

Or, they could have taken Bush and traded him for a couple of seasoned and proven lineman.

Same, I would go with Leinart. We all know he's got NFL skills. Young has too many problems with his game right now IMO.

I got Leinart going to Arizona now.

I think that's it, he fits better into the Titans system. I think it's interesting that even with Leinart's former OC, they still chose to pass on him and take Young instead. They must have their reasons. I also keep hearing that the Titans are hoping that McNair will be back and help teach the system to Young, although I don't think it will happen. It'll be interesting to see how it goes.

I heard the coaches wanted Leinart and the GM wanted Young.

That's possible too. They've been saying on the radio all week that Bud really wanted Young. I'd say he had the final say.

I can't believe that Leinart has dropped as far down as he did......#10? I bet he's kicking himself for not coming out last year...I'm glad that to Titans took Young...I think in the the long run he'll be better than Leinart

Easily Parys Haralson. Kevin Simon is rated as only the 20th best outside linebacker in the draft.
I agree...hes a tweener in size that would make an excellent pass rusher with few if any injury histories. He has some aggressive tendecies that have caused flags but that could be coached into disciplining that aggression into speed and technique, IMO.

any word on mahelona and the draft?
Mahelona is probably a late rounder. 6 or 7 if he goes, and in my estimation, the last of 3 total Vols to be drafted.

I wouldn't call Haralson a tweener... He's straight up small for the NFL, and that's his major drawback. I could easily see him getting shoved around by the huge offensive tackles in the bigs. He still has kind of a Dwight Freeney thing going with decent speed and great tenacity, which is the reason he's probably a 3rd/4th round pick.

What's up with Chad Jackson falling to the 2nd round and to New England of all places? The Pats pick late in the 1st round and get 2 very good offensive playmakers. :banghead: I dont understand Pittsburgh trading up for Santonio Holmes when him or Jackson would have been there at the 32nd pick anyway. I thought they were looking to replace Bettis with LenDale White. Looks like Indy got a decent replacement for Edge with Addai.

Replacing Edge with Addai is like replacing Shakira with Kathy Bates.
