Nfl Draft

Thats is the most probable choice in my oppinion, the 49's need some help and he could be that guy.

The thing I'm wonderin is where will Maurice Clarett go. Someone will pick him, eventually. But what round do you guys think he will go in?

I've heard the reports that he's done well at the Combine, but I don't think Clarrett will go before late third or 4th round. I don't think any NFL GMs want to go out on a limb for this guy given his history.

I don't know if Smith will go first... He's got the brains, but he is very underdeveloped physically. Who's first round? San Fran? I think they will take either Rogers or Braylon Edwards and hang around for a QB. I think there are bound to be some diamonds in the rough of this year's class, i.e. Timmy Chang.

The one that makes the most sense for the 49ers is Aaron Rodgers......hes a local prospect for them.....he's very polished coming out of college.......i think he would fit in the west coast wonderfully.....not until they get some talent around him though lol.....but aaron rodgers seems to be the logical choice........the 49ers are known for quarterbacks and if im not mistaken this might be the highest theyve ever taken one?

Like I said, they could take a WR to help out their new QB. I think Braylon Edwards will turn into one of the best recievers in the game, and this year, there are a lot of QB's that are going relatively unnoticed.

I'll tell you what. I'm no NFL scout, but for my money Stefan Lefors from Louisville looked as good as any QB I saw last year. It would be awfully tempting to trade down and get an extra pick and pick up a guy like LeFors, Orton etc and have another 1st round pick.

That he did. I would normally like to pay attention to how the QB actually plays rather than their stats i.e. Derek Anderson, but LeFors' stats don't lie. I know he played C-USA ball, but damn he ruled.

i think lefors was good, but he was a product of the offense. kinda like ty detmer.

dont know if he can get it done in the pros.

Get a playmaker first!!!! I say they get Braylon Edwards!!!! There is one more thing to think about.....they need help all over the place....so they may trade down to get more picks.....

I know LeFors had a great offense to work with, but it certainly takes something more than a slouch of a QB to earn a rating of 181.7.

Clarett will go 6th or 7th at best.

He ran a 4.82 then 4.72 in the 40.

I saw that in Sports Center. Whether or not he will even be drafted is in question, now.

I agree Milo! If a team drafts him they are crazy! Not to mention he quit the workout after running! He is a waste of time in my opionion!

The 49ers have Qbs Dorsey and Ratay(sp) the other one but they have no talent around them! I repeat none!!! They need skill players badly not a QB!! Also there D needs work!

This is a neat site that let's you look at all the potential draftees.

I was a little shocked to find out that Dustin Colquitt ran a 4.55 40 time.

Clarett runs really slow times then leaves combine. Can you say F/A contract.

A. Rodgers
A. Smith
B. Edwards
R. Brown

Are all in the same boat as far as the top pick. Alot depends if the 49ers keep or trade the pick. Ronnie Brown has really raised eyebrows with sub 4.4 40 times and soft hands.

IMO Ronnie Brown will be #1 pick and if he's not the team that doesn't pick him will regret it after he hits the field

i agree brown is a better back than most realize, in my opinion....much better than caddilac ....hope the fins get a chance at him and also he has no dreadlocks
