NFL QB Bray Reminds you of?

Jay Cutler. While he may not have Cutler's mobility they both have a cannon. They struggle at times with consistency, and have major issues with composure and attitude

Cam Newton's "leadership skills" led to a Heisman, National Championship and shattering the NFL rookie passing record. I wish Bray had 1/10th of that....

Wll i was jt looking at NFL qb's. How many wins did the Panthers have last year?

Ryan Mallett and Bray are the only two QBs I can recall who lied about being shorter than they actually were to improve their draft stock. Every other QB lies about being taller. Bray could be a Drew Bledsoe type or Ryan Leaf type depending on the coaching he gets at the next level or at UT next year. I think he will get drafted fairly high based on potential, which the NFL loves.

there is absolutely NO comparison between Bray and Jamarcus Russell. Russell is quite literally the least accurate QB to ever be drafted in the first round. Bray is extremely accurate when he's dialed in. The closest comparison is Brett Favre imo (not saying he is or ever will be as good as Favre).

Yes. He plays like Favre. Even his mistakes are like Favre's.

Here are Favre's numbers:

Note that he was bad in college. He was drafted on potential. (Bray's actually better at this point than Favre was in college.) He had a lot of great seasons and a good number of bad seasons. He had 5 seasons with as many ints as tds. He actually didn't sling it up the field all that much (as his yards per completion attest), but he did sling it all over the field. He played with the "when in doubt, chuck it and give the receiver a chance to make the play" attitude, which produced both great and horrible results. What made him great was that even if he threw 4 ints, his next pass wasn't affected by the previous ones. Bray has that, and really needs a coach that doesn't beat him up for it.

In my eye he reminds me of Phillip Rivers. Great Deep Ball and a front runner?

I may get bashed but hey at least i didnt say Cam Newtons leadership skills.

I said same thing, people bashed me for saying it, i think all round he is Philip Rivers Jr.

I definitely see Phillip Rivers. It's the West Coast swag and the inconsistency and the big arm IMO

Completely agree.

The mechanics are completley different, though. Rivers has such an odd release on the ball.

Ryan Leaf with the arm of flacco
exactly that. hopefully he can shake that part and get drafted by a team with a good support system behind a decent QB he can learn from for a year or 2. Denver would be a awesome spot for him to land.

Drew Bledsoe....However if he doesn't get his head out of his arse he'll be remembered with the likes of Neal Lomax.
