It doesn't matter. Goodell has already said several times that this story wasn't true and that the league wasn't looking to host a Super Bowl in London or any other foreign city

The NFL has done evrything in it's power over the last 10-15 years to be the premier and most popular sports league in this country. Now, in just fashion, it will spend a fraction of that time trying to destroy what it created... just like NASCAR.

What does it matter if the game is played in London?

It will still look the same on TV.

exactly. If they spread their popularity even further, they aren't ruining what they already have.

Houston bombed, Detroit bombed, Jacksonville bombed. The only successful US cities to host a Super Bowl are New Orleans, Miami and San Diego. And right now New Orleans isn't exactly on everyone's hot spot. Why not try to branch out?

Why you think Houston, Detroit, and Jacksonville bombed?

I think Arizona is also a good spot. My only problem with West Coast SB is that its usually a day to night game. That is just me being picky and loving a night football game though.

Lack of sufficient hotels, restaurants and overall nightlife. Windsor, Ontario, Canada was more successful than Detroit was when Detroit hosted the Super Bowl simply because of a better social scene that involved more alcoholic content per drink and more nudity from strippers. Sounds silly, but it's fact. Jacksonville had to pay to leave a number of cruise ships in port just to provide enough places to sleep. Traffic and absolutely nothing to do doomed Houston.

The only argument that I see as fair for not taking the Super Bowl out of the US is the fact that it takes tax monies away from a US city and state.
