For those of you who plan on having it and had it last year. the auto-renewal is 7 monthly payments of 45 bucks. Total: $ 314.00

Stop whatever you are doing and call directv.

When I found out what my bill for next month looked like I called with the intent to cancel the package. As soon as I informed them of my intent, the rep offered to drop it to $29/month. I didn't even have to raise my voice.

That's 180 bucks for the whole season.

It isn't free, but it's better than $314.

Yep. Did the same thing last year. Got offered the ticket and superfan for $208 total. It was beautiful.

Oh yea, I did the same thing yesterday. They were going to charge me $50 so I could get the package on my Iphone, funny thing is I dont even own an Iphone. So that got removed. Superfan is awesome. You gotta remember, this package is DirecTV bread and butter. They also offered me a good deal on college football, but I shot that down. The DTV rep was making fun of Alabama people because he said all of them call up on game day dog cussing about the Gameday package. Thought it was funny

...it's that time of year again, gentlemen.

Call your DirecTV rep and ask to cancel.

I got practically the same deal I got last year, plus mobile sunday ticket and superfan for free.

I got them down to $160. Holding off for a bit to see if I can get them lower.

Still annoyed all things considered they aren't offering it for free this year.

I will gladly pay full price just so I do not have to watch the Titans.

This. That is one of the main reasons why this will be my 4th year having it, and will continue to get. Wish I would have done it sooner. Also great for fantasy football. Worth every penny. Tuck the Fitans.

I get Broncos games all the time here in Utah. Then Raiders, 49ers, and Cardinals get about equal play after that. It sucks being in the middle of nowhere in the football world.

Tell me about it. It seems like whenever Dallas is not playing Sunday night, Monday or Thursday, they get schedule the same time as Seattle and I'm stuck watching the Seachickens unless I get down to the sports bar.

That'll never happen; too much of a profit to be made off of it currently

(and maybe a chance that some fees they may have to payed - weekly, per game, whatever - to break NFL regionality policies......however I really know little to
nothing about how that exactly works)

Personally - and I'm likely a bit different here - NFL red zone provides me with enough outside game feed/broadcast that I'm pretty happy

Could be much worse

Look at where I am during football season

True.

I don't really dislike the Titans, I just want to see other teams. I'm not a huge fan of the AFC south or the Titans and that's all that's on.

Again though, be glad it's not worse; you still get plenty of variety in getting at least 1 other game from elsewhere in the league (probably 2)

St. Louis falls under both the Rams and the Chiefs regionally...meaning, until late in the season, those two have priority; when either team played (up until like week 10-11-12), the other network's game wasn't shown (though, to their credit, they started to change that procedure this last season)

(While they were good this past year) that meant several weeks in the last few years where a 2 win st louis played in the morning and 4 win Kansas city in the afternoon or vice-versa and (other than a channel of infomercials where a say steelers, colts, jets, or titans game was the main billing nationally) those were all i could watch game-wise

But in All seriousness why do they show local games, why not just random ones? Apparently liking a team based on zip code is not a legit reason according to vn.

You are confusing the argument. Liking a team is not based solely on zip code.

I understand, like the guy im having to talk to right now is wearing a colts hat... You can tell he's never won anything in his life.... So why not watch someone win on tv.
