This. Once I found out how much it was to have more than one box (and how little you can store on a DVR), I cut and run.

I hope you knew it was a 2 year contract. You are going to be paying a hefty cancellation fee

Yeah, I realized that this afternoon. I guess I will just keep it for 2 years. Worth it for Sunday Ticket for a season, especially this season.

Yes, you can get Game Plan on virtually any cable/satellite provider, normally $130 for the season or something around there. You can get it for a discounted rate by employing the usual cable company tricks, though.

What is Game Plan? I have Charter, and the Panthers don't get picked up on tv a lot locally, so I end up just paying $10 a month to be able to listen online to games through nfl.com.

Not the NFL Ticket, but NFL Network is now available on Charter. I stumbled upon it last night, and was shocked because they even told me a month ago that it wasn't an option. I looked it up, and they added it to the sports package just three days ago.

I remember hearing about that. I'm pretty sure they added Red Zone too. If you aren't familiar with Red Zone, you'll love it once games start. Bounces from one game to another, based on what's happening, generally when a team is about to score, hence Red Zone.

Just saw that Red Zone channel is coming to Comcast and Charter now, too. Greatest news I've ever gotten in my entire life.

Wish I could get something like Sunday Ticket, but I have Dish Network. I never get to see my Broncos except in nationally televised games. I can't even listen to them on internet radio due to my stupid dial-up. I'm usually stuck watching a little field with dots that are five plays behind every Sunday on NFL.com or somewhere. Sucks!

I called Direct TV to cancel. (not just threaten actually wanting to do it)

The rep asked why I told her charter is going to give me 12 meg internet and cable for the price I am paying for them.

He took $20 off my monthly bill and gave me NFL sunday ticket
