you could love Tennessee football and despise Tennessee Basketball. And for my fight, I had no idea about the run Duke was going to go on when I picked them up in the late 80's as a wee little lad with family scattered all across N. Carolina.
homeboy's statement was that he couldn't root for UT becaue they weren't worth rooting for at the time. Given his age and that he landed on Duke, I'm simply saying he's a frontrunner. It's not illegal, just not a UT fan. He's a UT fan when they're winning. There is a difference.

i agree wholeheartedly, which is why I still defend my stance. Most of my mother's side is from here in TN, but my dad's familia is spread all throughout NC, mostly Elizabeth City. I had no formal ties to any team from anywhere and after being disgusted with the Houstons (let's not go there again), i went with Duke because I've always liked blue. they had recruited a young named named Robert Hurley and the rest is history.

I don't think front runner fans should be allowed to talk smack if their chosen team wins anything. How hard is that, claim you like a team then you're allowed to brag about them winning? Let's try this, OK, I am claiming for the next 5 minutes to be a NY Giants fan. "Yeah, what's up now, we're the champs, your team stinks." "Y'all don't want none of this." OK, I am back to being a Titans fan. Wow, that was hard.

Just wait for the Cubs to get to the World Series. Apologies to their good fans but a lot of them only appear when things are good. Their fans are the cicadas of the sports world.

I'd bet that there are a lot of fans like this. To each his own I guess, but I don't get it either.
What's the difference? Half this site magically turned into North Carolina fans in January before Bruce Pearl was in town.

Just an on-topic update, Gatlin is not listed anywhere on the Browns website, or NFL.com.
