Actually, I had seen mention of his injury months ago. I didn't pay it much mind then because my focus was on the QB injury issues. But I vaguely remember this being mentioned. As for his playing regardless, some players are driven to play despite injury, sometimes to their detriment. Lane practiced despite his hand injury. Neal played despite some leg injury. I think Maggit played despite turf toe for a while. Worley wanted back in the game despite his thumb injury.
Football is a macho sport. Players playing when they shouldn't is not unheard of. Jack Youngblood - Broken arm and leg. Nick Sundberg- broken arm. Tony Pike - broken arm. They had no business playing in that condition but, there they were. So why is it a stretch to think Josh had a broken finger bone? In the macho world of football, the attitude is walk it off or put some dirt on it. That 'tude supersedes being perceived as a crybaby or momma boy. I think it was Neal or Lane who criticized himself for not letting the coaches know he was hurt and the injury got worse as a result. You and I are not out there with those young men so have no basis for pooh poohing them.
KBVol just got spanked.
