When your dad is Archie Manning, it's a lot easier to forego the draft as a junior than it is when your parents are a janitor and cook at a school, as is the case with Michel. Kid apparently just loves playing for Georgia.

I know nothing of Chubb's financial situation though

What's to explain? Some kids like to play college football and know the NFL will be there next year. Some kids want to finish their degree before going on.

Not sure of either Chubbs or Michels situation but I know that can change a decision also. Manning come from a wealthy family which probably helped him make his decision to stay. I'm not one of those that says their stupid if the don't take the money.

I'm saying playing running back in the NFL has a short shelf life. You take the $$ make your money in the second contract.

Chubb must have gotten less than great feedback on his NFL draft position

Barnhart said that he was told that given his injury and the season he had as a result, that another season at Georgia would help his draft stock. So yes, you are correct sir.

Both of these guys will pull a Clowney and Fournette and barely play their last season.

If a kid wants to come back it's he loves the game majority of the time and get a degree most importantly, those $$$ can be one bad play for regretting not getting that degree, though alot do get their degree, I focus on one team and that's The Tennessee Volunteers through thick and thin. That or the hail Mary haunts them every night.

So more kids valuing education, thinking about what happens after football or what if they got hurt and couldn't play anymore?

Hope you aren't a financial planner. Athletic trainer median salary $40k. League minimum (which he will exceed) is $450k. Pretty sure he could get hurt, never play again, take a nice long vacation before finishing the degree and still come out on top. This is definitely an attempt to upgrade his draft position.

On an SEC board Georgia fans are telling me they have 19 starters returning, but that won't matter because they have "no talent" on the roster. LOL Does anybody really think Georgia has no talent? Friggin hilarious.

UGA won't win the East. They underachieve every year.

Since 2001 they have been SEC East champs 5 times. Tennessee has been 3 times. They have been the SECCG twice since Tennessee was last there in 2008. Not sure why you are so sure of they cannot win the east again.

Georgia fans. Their average recruiting ranking over the last 5 years is 8th in the nation. The lowest class they had was ranked 11th in 2013. Any excuse they can find for firing a 10 win per year coach and putting hot garabage on the field they will use. Completely wrong but they will spew it out nonstop.

UGA was literally 3 yards away from a BCS title not long ago. There is plenty of talent on campus and there always will be.

Us or Florida. About the same like this year.

UT won't win the East next year. They can't even win it when it is gifted to them on a silver platter. Next year will be tougher.

I don't know if I can stand a third straight McElwain East Division title. A very puzzling set of events. WTF is going on with the SEC East? Bama has to be getting bored participating in these SEC Championship blowouts.

I think you might have to lean Georgia to be the favorite to win the East next year. Eason and the entire backfield is returning, and their defense should be better. How is their offensive line depth?

McElwain still hasn't shown to be the offense/QB guru he supposedly is at Florida and he has lots of guys leaving off of the defense that Muschamp built. Looking at their schedule, they could very easily lose 6 games next year (4 in conference).

I really think that Eason has Heisman Trophy-caliber arm talent but it is a question of is he ever going to play on a team good enough for him to win it.
