Nick Saban shows unusual respect to Tennessee

Our defense is just average at best. When we get a defense like Bama and Georgia then were going to play for National titles. I believe we have a shot at winning this game if no Bryce Young. I think we can hold them to 30 and I think we can get to that amount at least. This could be a nail biter and hopefully were very competitive with a chance to win at the end.

We have the 7th best rush defense in the country. And were ranked well ahead of Georgia in TFL. We're top 30 in turnovers created.

All a team like that needs is a good offense .
Oh would you look at that! We're the number 1 offense in the country ....

We are better right now than Alabama has been at any point in this season.

Saban knows it. The talking heads know it.
I know it.
The only people that don't know it are crumb beggars like you...
Waiting for us to lose to Alabama and Georgia, meanwhile not understanding the type of team Tennessee is becoming right now.

Saban knows he's coming to Knoxville against the best Tenn team he's EVER faced while at Alabama, and his own team is searching for answers.

We have a SR QB playing out of his mind! And a defense that's getting better and better.

Exactly. Saban has long been a master of complimenting his opponent. He is old school in that regard.

Coaches seem to put themselves in one school or another though they drift a bit. Some taunt, ie Kiffin (not always). Saban usually compliments.

Spurrier was the master in my opinion of offering a dig, thinly (and humorously) disguised as a compliment.

Spurrier was obviously huge for the UF program but I think he added a lot to the entire endeavor of college football.

Ehhh he was entertaining and it was an offense like nobody had seen before, I will grant you that I always wanted to see Phil and him duke it out on the sidelines lol you know they wanted to Visors and gum thrown everywhere

Nick is old school, he is usually very complimentary of opponents before a game.

Saban will never downplay an opponent. And given their three close games this year I think he's seriously trying to get his team's attention. But I hope they walk in with the attitude that they can show up and win.

I’m so nervous about this game. This week going as slow as the week before florida. My biggest fear is we are the Ohio state Michigan Cincinnati or notre dame that got all hyped up to face bama, and then got skull drug. I’m optimistic, but it is hard to bet against saban. The bama fans will truly be unbearable if that happens.

This is me as well! I think our offense can play with anyone but our secondary is....suspect (trying to be nice there). Fingers crossed that Young is not at his usual level and makes some mistakes and our defensive front shows up again.

If you see Saban pointing out weakness or being angry about something then you have his attention.
At this point he has no worries except to inflict maximum damage on Tennessee as possible to keep the sleeping giant down!
He was angry with A&M cause they brought in a stable of 5 stars. We are 1-1/2 year removed from whole team quitting and filling it with players who were sitting somewhere else - generally speaking. He knows his program should crush us! He feels he just has to get his players to follow the program this week and saturday will go like the last 15 years.
i hope he vastly underrates the heart of our team!

Spurriers last game as coach at UF vs Tennessee game was at the Swamp..and we beat them. One of my favorite Vol games ever.
