Isn't it funny how when Mustain whined at Arkansas, he was a pampered little kid, but when Barnes whined at Alabama, it's Saban's fault.

agreed. If i'm a kid, I want to play for a winner, nice guy or not. Saban is a winner. I can understand why tide fans are excited. I still dislike the guy though. :)

We are all happy for 'Bama but why do you think anyone other than Bama fans would care. Trust me, it is not something anyone else in the SEC has been worried about...Slick Nick had ya'll by the throat so there was never any doubt the contract would be signed. Now go back to your forum and talk about how many championships you have.

After 5 and a half months Coach Saban finally signed his 8 year contract yesterday. I thought you guys would want to know in case you had been concerned about it.

We do know this much.

John Heyman from SI.com just said on Jim Rome show that Saban is the biggest liar of all time. Got to call as you see them.

But did he stab his boss in the back while he's recovering from a heart attack? :p

If you are talking about Phil and Johnny, you were one of the few who never saw Johnny at the coaches meetings or in front of his players. Johnny did his on self in.

Honestly, though, you do agree Nick Saban lied, yes? Even though it might be an industry norm to lie in the position he was in, he did lie, right?

Very good point indeed.

I think people need to get thel off Saban's back. I dont like Bama but but as bad as I hate to admit it they got one hell of a coach.

Is that because he failed at Miami or bailed on his job halfway through failing.

I don't get this. The Dolphins played in probably the toughest division in football last year. They had to go against the Patriots and the Jets. The Bills were also decent. With the QB situation they managed a 6-10 season. Had Dave Wannstedt still been coaching the Dolphins, they would have gone 3-13 or worse. Honestly, if the Dolphins had been in the NFC, they probably would have made the playoffs both years under Saban. The truth is that the Dolphins were a team that was offensively reliant on one player (Ricky Williams). Remove him from the equation and what do you get? A 4-12 season that results in Dave getting fired. Insert Nick and the Dolphins automatically improve. If Saban had hung around another year or so he would have found a capable QB and gotten the Dolphins into the playoffs.

Saban is a tool, coaching ability aside, he's an a**, did you notice that he made sure he only has to make a min. number of public appearances? see, he doesnt want to have to spend any more time around bama fans than he has too....just like the rest of us.
