Telepromptus Maximus

I know that the teleprompter stuff is all in fun, but the first thing I learned about public speaking was to make sure you are prepared for a speech. If I had access to a teleprompter, I would use it too.

But why not have a hard copy of the speech as well, in case the teleprompter fails?

The one thing we learned from our last President was that you should never attempt to improv. The more gadgets set up to deliver your speech the better, so yes, he should have a hard copy....

going back to President #42, Clinton once gave half of a 45 minute speech from memory while a teleprompter malfunction was being addressed. The 'prompter came back up right at the point Clinton was at in the speech. I didn't care for him as the President, but I'm confident he could run intellectual circles around Obama.

Obama likes to come across as contemplative and deliberate when he's speaking extemporaneously, but to me he just sounds like he's not very bright, he just has a decent vocabulary.

President Obama.

After 8 years of petty name calling and gnashing of teeth I can't bring myself to stoop to that level. Do I like the way he is handling things? Not in the least. But in the end he is the one that won the office, and I respect that.

Sorry for being a killjoy :p .
