Tell your co worker Ms Terri wants to transfer.

Bama will be very good but they’re not what they were 8-10 yrs ago. Some of their recent “top recruiting classes” haven’t panned out. A lot of 4&5 star guys haven’t cut it & left.

A co worker of mine who is a Bama fan said he heard Saban is going to come hard after Nico to get him to transfer. I don’t believe that Nico would leave but after Bama’s spring game Saban is apparently panicking that he doesn’t have a legit QB on the roster. So he’s going to get one in the transfer portal and Nico is who he is targeting. Should we be concerned? Or is this probaly just BS?

The fact that you even entertain this is just sad

If that’s the case then the season has likely gone south
We could reasonably have 8 or more blowout wins.

UVA, UTSA, UConn, Vandy and Peay

Then three of UK, Mizzou, SCar, Florida, and A&M. A few of those could be close but three of that 5 being blowouts is easily in the realm of possibility.

So yeah, we could see Nico in 8 games next year without injury or other disaster.

Burn his RS for just blow out wins? I wouldn’t want that/

Not in the least. We want the quarterback who is leading the team in 2024 to have some on field experience.
When you are ahead by 30 in almost every game ... there is no reason not to get him some live, on-field experience.

TRUE, and he knows any injury or major hiccups from Joe and he will roll out there.
I am hopng for an injury free season for Joe ... but the track record for quarterbacks in the SEC ... is they get banged up and/or hurt.
So, I want live experience ASAP ... in order to prepare for the worst. Joe Milton played in 6 games last year, BEFORE Hooker was injured.
I see no reason for Heupel to change his strategy this year.
Nico did not come here to carry a clipboard for one year .... he is NOT redshirting!

Others have argued over that quite a lot. I’ll just say I don’t see him sticking around after his junior year anyway, although I guess it’s possible. More than that, it’s hard for me to see the staff effectively moving Gaston ahead of him on the depth chart. If Joe goes down, who’s the next man up? If it’s Nico, he should get those game reps.

yep, you have to get and keep them game ready. SEC Ds are tough on QB's , no doubt.

Sounds legit. Time to panic.

Why would you red shirt him when he’ll be gone after his RS sophomore year anyway?? Mine as well get him some game reps.

You are assuming he will be gone. You would have assumed Peyton was gone in 1996. He would have been the #1 pick in 1996. What happened? He came back. Nobody knows what Nico will do.

Same Energy.

Um, he's sick. My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.
